How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Valley Veterinary Emergency
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I am incredibly grateful for the entire team at Valley Veterinary Emergency Hospital. They provided exceptional care for my dog during a recent visit and from the moment we arrived, every doctor, technician, and staff member treated us with genuine kindness and professionalism. They took the time to answer my questions, explain my dog's treatment, and make sure I felt informed and supported throughout the process. They cared for my dog as if he were their own and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. Their expertise and patience made all the difference. I am so thankful for the care they provided and would trust this team without hesitation if my pet ever needed emergency care again.

When your dog needs emergency care, you walk in carrying a lot more than just a leash. You’re worried, tired, and hoping the people on the other side of the counter know what they’re doing. Valley Veterinary Emergency did exactly what you hope an emergency vet will do. They moved quickly, the facility was clean and well run, and the staff treated us with real empathy from the moment we arrived. No chaos, no coldness — just calm, capable people doing important work. A special thank you to Serge, who helped us through the process with kindness, patience, and professionalism. In a stressful moment, that matters more than people realize. Grateful for the care, the speed, and the humanity. Highly recommend.

Valley Veterinary Emergency took very good care of my dog who had eaten life endangering toxic food. From the front desk, to the technicians to the DR everyone was very caring and professional. I cannot praise Dr Medina enough for her care and dedication. She was the Dr on duty when we brought my dog in. Despite the following two days being her off days, she followed her case, updated me and even went into the office to examine her.

Amazing doctors and staff! We rushed my dog here after he was attacked by another dog. Luckily this was around 8pm and they were still open. He was pretty bloodied and the receptionist, Alice, jumped up and into action as soon as we walked through the door. The female nurse or doctor (so sorry didn’t get her name, but she has beautiful tattoos) took him right back and was so good with him. Dr. Jasper treated him and was amazing, even reaching out to dental specialists to get 2nd opinions. Thank God our baby was ok, just lost some teeth. They gave us medicines and a protocol. These people are angels and I am so grateful for them. On top of all of that our bill was incredibly reasonable for emergency care. Thank you thank you thank you Alice, Dr. Jasper, and beautifully tattooed dog hero 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
