Dry Creek Vet - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO THIS VET On April 12 we took our dog in to an emergency appointment and it was the worst mistake we could have made. Our dog was experiencing pain on one of her hind legs. After $1200, she was misdiagnosed with a partial ligament tear, was given anti-inflammatory meds and we went off with a plan to return on April 17th for follow up blood work as her CBC (WBC) were dangerously low. On Wednesday, April 15 my dog began vomiting and having bloody diarrhea, I contacted Dry Creek the next day to give them an update and was told to monitor and keep the planned appointment for April 17th. On April 17th we went back and my dog was experiencing a very high fever, I told them I didn’t want to continue to give her the carprofen because I think that’s what caused the upset stomach, I had last administered it on Thursday April 16th. Dr Lehil agreed and changed her anti-inflammatory meds, and prescribed other meds (antibiotics). Kept our dog for the day and released her that evening after she was showing no signs of a fever. During the weekend my dog stopped eating and drinking water and we were to return on Monday, April 20th for yet another follow-up. At that time my dog had a fever again, and we were told we could keep her there or take her to another vet - that’s when I should have ran but because they knew what was going on with my dog, had administered bloodwork, etc we kept her there for the day. At 5 pm when we picked her up my dog still had a fever and we were told it was because she was excited while she was kenneled. The Dr (a different vet) told me to take her off of the anti-inflammatory and put her on a strict bland diet. We took her home and by 7 pm I was rushing her to VCA Loomis for an emergency. My dog became unstable and began breathing rapidly and her fever had increased, in addition I noticed her paw was injured while at Dry Creek earlier that day. VCA Loomis did an ultrasound and when I shared with the vet that they changed out her anti-inflammatory pills from one day to the next she became concerned that my dog may have developed an ulcer as it is recommended that at least 5 days pass before a new anti-inflammatory is administered. In fact, the ultrasound determined my dog had quite a bit of inflammation to her GI system. In addition, the vet at VCA Loomis told me my dog had a complete tear of the ligament and not partial as we had previously been told by Dr. Lehil. I called Dry Creek asking to talk to the owner or office manager and they never called, I went in 2 weeks later and was told the owner would call me. She called the next day and basically said they did what was recommended, didn’t take responsibility for any of it and put it on me saying I had the option of taking her to VCA Loomis. All in all, we spent close to $3500 at Dry Creek and my dog’s health only deteriorated. If it weren’t for VCA Loomis we may have lost her.

Today I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Kaur. A few months ago, I brought in a newly adopted kitten from the SPCA who was visibly suffering from a parasitic infection. At that visit, another veterinarian treated him appropriately and administered injections to address the issue. A few weeks later, my other cat developed the same symptoms after exposure to the kitten. When I returned for treatment, Dr. Kaur refused to provide the same injections despite my cat showing identical, visible symptoms and despite there being documented records from my kitten’s prior diagnosis and treatment. I was required to return multiple times before any treatment was administered. During this process, I became understandably distraught, as I should not have had to repeatedly advocate for the same standard of care for another one of my animals. I could hear disagreements between the doctor and the nurse regarding my cat’s treatment through the door; the nurse presented supporting documentation and clinical reasoning, while Dr. Kaur continued to refuse treatment. When Dr. Kaur entered the exam room, the interaction became confrontational, and I felt I had to insist on treatment being provided. Even then, I am not confident my cat ultimately received the correct or complete care. This experience was stressful, unprofessional, and concerning. I would not recommend this practice if you are seeking attentive, compassionate, and consistent veterinary care for your pets.

Our pure bred German Shephard, Rocky is alive today because of Dry Creek Veterinary Center's Team of exemplary humans that went above and beyond to save him! Rocky needed life saving surgery: GDV/Gastropexy and they found an amazing animal surgeon, Dr. Karanvir S. Aulakh to perform it. Dr. Kaur, Dr. Lehil, Joanna, Molly, and Alice provided round the clock care at Dry Creek Veterinary Center to give Rocky a second chance and almost one month later he is doing well! In fact, Rocky likes to hang out with the team and feels very comfortable with them. Gratitude and thanks for all that Dry Creek Veterinary Center has done to facilitate this miracle! I highly recommend them! Melissa & Rocky ❤️🐶

My family has taken our cats and dogs to Dry Creek Vet for the past several years. They graciously got my new dog in for an appointment when she ripped her dew claw. The front desk was very helpful and explained things in detail, while the doctor was comforting and explained exactly how she would help my dog. After a quick procedure, I was able to pick her up and take her home for a super quick recovery! Thank you to everyone working before the holidays and for the great service. It ended up costing about $430, but compared to other local vets, this was a reasonable price. They even added a small Santa hat to her leg wrap, so sweet!
