How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banderas Pet Hospital & Boarding

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Everyone at Banderas Pet Hospital were very helpful and pleasant to work with. Dr Brown is a wonderful veterinarian. She is very compassionate and understanding regarding any issue you may have with your pet. She will work out a plan for your pet that works best for you. I highly recommend Banderas Pet Hospital for all of your pets needs.

This is what you can expect when you have a cat boarding service with Banderas Pet Hospital. The dirty litter box could potentially risk the cat's health issue. I can't believe the animal hospital let this happen, which means they don't care about your fur babies. Update: after this review, they said they no longer want my cat as their customer. I was concerned because my cat wouldn't use this dirty litter box and would cause kidney, bladder, and urinary tract diseases.

I could not be more thankful and complementary of Dr. Cooper and her team! I first took my dog in a few months ago because he was struggling with anxiety. Not only was I able to get an appointment they got us in within three days. Once I arrived everyone was so kind and immediately put myself and my dog at ease. Dr. Cooper came into the room and made us feel comfortable and it was like talking to a friend. Her diagnosis was fair and straight to the point. You could tell that she was invested in my dog and that she had his best interest at heart. Her follow up to that appointment was amazing. Her team followed up with a call and a text. I was impressed and hoped to only see her with a follow up appointment. Unfortunately, my dog got sick and I called to see if I could get him seen, the team got me in that same day, within an hour of calling. Dr. Cooper was there on her day off when she saw me walk in she and asked what was wrong? I thought I was going to cry. She immediately gave my dog cuddles and said let’s get him better. She took him to the back and personally looked after him. In all my years of being a pet owner I have never seen someone care so much or take the time to personally care for myself and my pet. When I say she’s the best I mean it. Thank you to everyone who made our dog feel so much better!

Highly recommend Dr. Brown. Just brought our cat Tuck to see the Doctor and staff at Banderas Animal Hospital. Excellent experience all-around. We are staying temporarily in town with our two cats and did not expect to have to see a veterinarian. With the understanding Dr Brown is not Tuck’s primary care veterinarian, she was extremely respectful of his previous diagnoses. She initially recommended a urinalysis as a diagnostic, but after taking a look at Tuck’s tiny bladder, she decided the procedure would not be safe for him at the moment. This kind of patient-first discretion, especially when it comes to the veterinary industry, is extremely valuable trait to have in a vet. Make Dr. Brown your pet’s vet! We would if we lived here!
