How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Casillas Veterinary Hospitals

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Idk why everyone is leaving super bad reviews. The wait is because it is a walk-up pet hospital. If you do not want to wait then make an appointment somewhere where they take appointments. Dr. Casillas helped my 6 year old cat with his UTI after he got blocked for the second time (which is very common with male cats) he recommended the PU surgery to help him feel relief and for me to no longer keep spending a bunch of money every time he got blocked(id rather pay for a $2,500 surgery to stop him from getting blocked again then to keep going back and paying $1100 every time he gets blocked). With PU surgeries costing up to $4000, this vet option was very cheap. Dr. Casillas was great at explaining everything wrong with him and exactly what they would do to my baby. He explained the entire procedure and kept him for over a week to make sure he went home doing okay. Now thanks to Dr. Casillas, my cat is no longer going to be blocked and is able to pee without problems. I don't know if you read this, but Milo and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts Dr. Casillas! (2months ago)

Very popular place, there is always a wait line but that's because the service is great, and they open Saturdays. Plan ample time to bring your mascots here, they will take excellent care for them.

This is the place I take my pets when my local vet is booked. They are walk in only and you need to get there early if you want to be seen. Like, 730 am to be put on the sign up sheet. We got there at 8 and didn't get seen until noon, but we expected that since we have been there before. When we finally were seen the doctor and assistant were nice and efficient. We brought two kittens newborn and two month old. Baby got meds and dewormer, 2 month old got dewormer, flea treatment and vaccines. All together less than 230 dollars for the whole visit and they take care credit. I think the bad reviews for this place are from very entitled people. If you aren't expecting to wait hours and are used to the red carpet treatment this place is not for you. The staff is no nonsense and efficient likely from the sheer amount of patients they see in a day. I myself am very grateful for this vet I can come to without an appointment made weeks in advance.

I have been waiting in line for over two hours, I call to see where I am in line, and I had 8 people in front of me and I would be attended for the next two hours. So I decide to leave since it is super hot outside waiting in my car and 20 minutes later I get a call from the pet hospital to be seen. I wasted my whole morning just waiting outside and for nothing. This frustrated me and not satisfied at all. I love how they treat my pets and they care which I like a lot and that is why I go back but on how they manage time & information is disappointing.

Try to get them to refill a pets prescription they don't respond and or answer phone terrible business practices however the doctors are very good. I have to make personal appearance to fill or get a message to them IF they open the door!
