How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Eastridge Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This office was recently sold to a new vet and has all new staff. I was worried at first as everyone from Eastridge was so wonderful and took such gear care of my pups. But, my first visit to Feathers & Fur (the new name) was fantastic. Dr. Gianopoulos put all my worries to rest and was amazing. All former Eastridge clients should have no concerns about the new management.

Exceptionally professional. Always a great experience here. If they find an issue with my dog, they offer several options of care, along with thorough explanations. I NEVER feel like they try to up sell me on some expensive, unnecessary treatment. I have a GRUMPY, ALOOF chow, who growls during most of the visit. Dr. Rodriquez is not put off. She gets down on the ground with us. She speaks calmly to my dog and gives her "cheese" as a peace offering. The front desk girls are very accommodating and sweet. Easy to make appointments too. I would definitely recommend this place for your pet.

I had to put my baby, Sadie, down. The staff were very kind. The Dr. who administered her forever sleep medication was gentle and very supportive. I had her cremated. I received her remains in a small beautiful wooden chest. Attached to the chest was letter of condolence. A week later a sympathy card came to my house. Inside of the card were all the signatures of the staff with all of their sympathy. This place really cares about you and your pets.

These guys closed down but the new owners are similar. Very expensive. Can't get any in- between service without regular expensive visits. Sometimes no one answers the phone. But for the care you can get, it's good.
