How to Save on Veterinary Costs at King City Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They've been wonderful with all my animals (even my difficult dogs) but I have to give a special mention for Nubbies. If it wasn't for Dr.Violand and her team she wouldn't have made it. They did everything they could to figure out what was wrong and treat her, and they were so incredibly amazing about reassuring us and keeping us updated about her.

“Just wait”. I’m not sure I understand the point of opening at 8am but not having a doctor until 9. Having an emergency is useless here. “Just wait for the doctor” And we waited. I’m pretty sure my kitty is having a seizure, help him. He’s not breathing correctly help. “I’m sorry the doctor is examining another pet” And he passed away. He stopped breathing. I am so truly disappointed.

I really hate that this VET NEVER answers their phone !!! They let it ring non stop I've shown up plenty of times and it would be dead empty!!? There’s atleast 8 workers and not ONE worker answers I also think dr violand does NOT KNOW what’s she doing she’s nice but I will always prefer dr Cheney i will have to search for a NEW DR someone with more knowledge also someone who knows how to perform surgeries Im very sad to see him go and how his practice will go be going downhill after he leaves the prices will also rise much higher which is another con !! They should’ve had a more experienced dr take over someone older she operated on my dog failed and once was enough! She sucked did not fix the issue my dog needed another surgery I made sure to only have dr Cheney that time cause I basically spent paid for a surgery that did nothing waste of money! I would never choose her . Dr Cheney resolved the issue and fixed my dog he really is the best and was affordable it sucks it has to come to an end I wish they looked into hiring a different experience DR

Dr. Violand takes incredible care of any animal that walks in to her clinic. She is thorough, patient and is very up to date on the latest science. Most importantly, my dogs love her! Thank you Dr. Violand. South County is so lucky to have you.
