How to Save Money at DAWG Rehab Diley's Animal Wellness Group

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I come from colton and this rehab center is by far the best thing i have done for my dog. Shes been struggling to keep herself up to eat and walk but with there help and guidance I see that she is slowly getting there. Seeing her being able to hold herself up to eat was amazing. The price is affordable and the staff are so generous and do an outstanding work. Its been about a month and they have been such great help with my dog. The exercises I have been doing has build confidence in my dog and she is so energetic and happy when i take her for walks. Going to them was the best thing ive done for my dog who has difficulty getting up and walking.

DAWG Rehab has been nothing short of a godsend for me and my beloved service dog Loki, nearly 17 years of age. Both Diley and Dr. Natalia are true healers. Positive loving energy and environment...it is ALL HEART here. You get to be present with your furbaby throughout the therapies (instead of pup being taken into a treatment room separate from parent) - which not only prevents stress and anxiety but further facilitates healing. Loki LOVES coming here. I am beyond grateful to have found these healers to continue Loki's holistic care and physical therapy including water treadmill (all of which were requiring faraway travel to access), here in town now. I only wish I had known about this place sooner. I cannot say enough good things, and highly and wholeheartedly recommend DAWG Rehab.

This location is in Hesperia guys! We have been taking out boy Kronos here since August. Our pup has hip surgery at the age of 10 months early 2024 and we didn't know there were rehab options otherwise he would have been in earlier than later. We can tell the difference from the start and currently (dec) that his endurance, strength, balance and all around health is improving. Diley is just amazing with Kronos and keeps him leveling up on his pt. I hear great things about dr. Natalia with acupuncture from another friend taking her 3 pups too. This place is amazing, friendly and a blessing to our dog. Get your pups in here of they have had some type of bone surgery, paralysis, needs weight management control or a doggy wheelchair.

We are beyond grateful for the incredible team at Dawg Rehab who have been helping our dachshund Frankie, regain his strength and mobility after surgery for IVDD. Watching your dog struggle to walk again is heartbreaking—but finding a team that cares as deeply as we do has made all the difference. From day one, the staff welcomed Frankie with open arms (and treats!), and treated him like family. They explained every step of the therapy process with compassion and clarity, giving us both hope and confidence. The facility is clean, calm, and well-equipped, and every session is thoughtfully tailored to Frankie’s progress and comfort level. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, Frankie is now wagging his tail, moving more confidently, and even starting to walk again! We never imagined we’d see such progress—and it’s all because of their patient, professional care. If your pup is facing recovery after IVDD or any mobility challenge, we truly cannot recommend Diley enough!

This rehab is wonderful! We went in hoping to just make our 12 year old Chug with hip/back issues more comfortable and to figure out the whole wheelchair adjustments. I came home with so much more. We spent the better part of 2 hours there with therapy and showing me what can be done at home for exercises to help her gain some strength back. Looking forward to our next next appointment!
