How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Travis Vet Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Front desk lady was very rude. I mistaken my appointment as 10:30 instead of 10:00 so I was late when I walked in at 10:30. She told me I was late so my appointment was cancelled and I'll have to reschedule a new one, i said sorry I mistaken the appointment time and then I stood there to wait for her to reschedule an appointment for me. 20 minutes passed as I stood there watching her going through records so I had to ask if she needed anything from me so I can reschedule an appointment and get out of there. She then had to emphasize on that I was late and she needs to talk to the vet to reschedule me. Then she said she thought she told me I had to wait (which she didn't) and I can wait in the lounge if I want. So the whole time she ignored me as I was standing right in front of her for 20 minutes while I was holding a carrier with 2 cats inside. I would like to believe that anyone with regular eyesight would recognize a person standing in front of them waiting for them. I walked out without rescheduling, never coming back to this place.

Front desk lady is incredibly rude. Makes me scared to even take my dogs here for care if I’m going to be talked down to and be treated so poorly.

Convenient location and very reasonable price on services

As a former mwd handler at this base I’m pretty sad to say this vet clinic has a lot of inner problems. A lot of drama goes on behind the scenes to the point they take out their personal views on customers. They are hardly ever able to answer the phone and they will completely blame you for their scheduling mishaps. Needs a lot of organization and overhaul and the fact that they are rude about their mistakes to customers shows the unprofessionalism here. Needed some check ups for an up coming PCs and they completely dropped the ball on almost all of it. There are a lot better options out there.
