How to Save on Veterinary Costs at South Davis Veterinary Center

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love this vet. They respond quickly to any concerns I have and immediately give recommendations and schedule an appointment. I have a sensitive cat and have been to them a lot over the past 2 years and they’ve helped resolve every concern. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a bit pricey for a student ($75 visits) than what I am used to, but I believe it is worth it for the best care!

They have a lot of space in their waiting-room, it's very clean, and I never feel rushed. We switched to this vet from another in town, and their prices are comparable. They will give you paper prescriptions if you can find medication cheaper than them. They always follow up with visits if they're a big deal, like surgeries. I've been very happy that we switched to the South Davis Veterinary Center!

South Davis vet is professional, clean, and friendly! I have never been dissatisfied with their quality of care, and often recommend them to anyone in town. Dr. Schawel has been a top-quality doctor for my pets for years and has helped us immensely. I love how much he loves our chihuahuas!

From the moment you walk in you are acknowledged, and treated so friendly. I love how they treated our pup. The front staff was so nice, kind, and helpful. Jen was so sweet, caring, helpful, and explained everything in detail. Jen treated our pup like as if he was her own. The Vet was amazing, and was so caring, and sympathetic to our pup. Thank you for being so kind, helpful, caring, and sympathetic. If you love your pup just as much as we do, and you are looking for a Vet, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.
