I went here for nearly 2 years with my french bulldog who struggled with allergies so bad she was getting wounds and scabs. While they were cheaper than Newport Mesa Animal hospital the doctor still never got to the root of the problem. It was yet another vet that made more money treating the symptoms than fixing the root cause. I finally found out there are allergy shots that I inquired about and of course he said they have no side effects and work amazing... yet why was I never told this? So I get the shot and it works wonderfully but it's $150 she needs it every month... After research Cytopoint advertises it only cost the vet $36 for my dogs size plus the 5 minutes of labor to give the shot... So I called around and found the most amazing place, Surf City Pets, that only charges $70 and are nearly half of what any vet in the area charges for every type of visit. On top of that they have the ability to see people within 24 hours usually. When I asked to buy the medication online and pay for a shot fee they denied it for bogus reasons, and when I asked for price matching they were extremely hesitant. Sad that they expect people to break the bank just for their pet to get monthly maintenance it needs.

Dr. B is quite literally the kindest and most knowledgeable vet we’ve ever met. Our pup loves him! Would recommend their Silver Membership plan.

Excellent care, staff and the Vet that my dog trusts and likes! I have been bringing my dogs here for many years and Dr B loves animals and truly cares about the health and well being of your pet... Dover Shores Pet Care Center receives 5 stars from my German Shepherd and he really enjoys going there for his baths and exams...

Highly recommend! I used to take my dog here about 3 or 4 years ago and I have not yet found a place close to as great since I have moved back to MN. My dog is terrified of the vet but I brought him here several times and he always walked in without hesitation. The vet immediately sat on the ground with him and my dog loved him instantly. The vet is an all around really great guy with the best vibes that really worked with us when I couldn’t afford all the bills up front. I currently can’t find a vet that me or my dog trust and that is as nice and trustworthy as the people at dover shores! 10/10 recommend. I never leave reviews but they really are the best and deserve it! Anyone is Orange County area definitely go here. The vet even decks out his scrubs with his beautiful mountain dogs!!🥰

Great staff..amazing vet!! Very comfortable and calm atmosphere. Doc is top notch and cares deeply for every animal. Small or large. I completely endorse this facility. Great job!!
