How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I took my toy poodle to your clinic in SF,California because she has some skin issues. The doctor did some tests and gave her shampoo and conditioner to help and they said she will get better after a week. 2 weeks gone she didn’t improve anything so I called to make appointment, Dr said if she didn’t get better with their treatment then there is nothing they can do. I’m glad I didn’t buy their membership because seems like they can’t help much and they asked me to look for pet demathologist. Very unprofessional , wasting my time and money.

Took my 4mo. old pup for her second round of shots and to help her with an ear infection. Great staff, my pup felt at home, she had no problem going with them and me leaving. Dr called me and gave me a summary of the visit, all in all it was a great visit and Kira will be back for her check-ups and visits.

Easy to get appt but not so easy to get call answered even when they say they will look into your matter and call you back. They screen calls and put them directly on hold without a hi please hold. Called after 2+ weeks about lab results and now again 3 weeks later. $400 for subpar service.

I love this place. We come for the great service and care they provide to our dog Phoebe. The front desk staff, specifically Mykel is amazing and always positive and plesant when we come in. He remembers his patients and has great bedside manner. They always let us know quotes and care options before attending to our dog.

My first time there. They were accommodating, professional and sympathetic toward my plight of an aged canine that had reached a transition point in his journey. Forgive me if I sound displaced but I am. I lost my best friend. Banfield helped ease the anxiety of the whole situation. I'm in my car as I write this and I can still smell him.
