How to Save Money at VetsASAP Mobile Veterinary Care
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Dr. Michelle and her team are phenomenal. I feel so lucky to have found them. My senior Mastiff mix was struggling to move and in pain so I didn't want to add additional discomfort by taking her to my usual vet. I called VetsASAP in the morning and they were at my house within hours. They are complete professionals and so compassionate. Their mobile van is nothing short of impressive with all the necessary equipment. Dr. Gavin walked me through all her findings and discussed all the potential treatment options. They took such amazing care of my sick girl, in our time of need, and I'm so grateful. I will be using Dr. Gavin and her team all the time now. I cannot recommend VetsASAP enough. Stepheney is Dr. Gavin's Vet Tech and is such a sweetheart. My dog is aloof and never gives kisses but Stepheney got a kiss. That tells you everything. ♥️

I love the staff and felt they were so sweet and gentle with my kitties who both needed MAJOR dental care this week and both cats are already back up and running. I loved that they can come here and was hoping it would be less traumatic having the Vets come here but I guess it was still pretty hectic for the kitties (although they do get over it pretty quick so that's good) I would do it again......it's more expensive but better than having to wait for hours in a vet, the car ride, being in a strange environment etc are my thoughts. Thanks again to all the staff for your tender loving care.

It started with a warm phone contact, a fast appointment and a great team. Doctor Gavin and Stéphanie are patient, bring peace in a chaotic situation and did a good job with our 2 dogs and 2 cats. I called them for papers to travel abroad but I will call them now anytime I need help. Much easier for our Irish Wolfhound. Highly recommended.

Friendly, courteous, caring, professional, knowledgeable, positive, reassuring and kind. Stepheney was so welcoming and friendly when I first spoke to her on the phone about my cat's health problem. She was also wonderful and caring when she came to my home. Dr. Gavin was also fantastic with my kitty, she knew exactly how to make her problem go away quickly! She is down-to-earth and a really nice lady! They make a great team! You cured my cat's health issue asap!

Dr. Gavin and her team are a GODSEND! Their love, compassion and expert care are worth every penny and more! My kitty was ailing and I left an evening message for Vets ASAP and got a return call by 8am the next morning from the most wonderfully warm and understanding person! It was like getting a huge hug and relief injection through the phone! They came to my home the same day and treated my (very scaredy) cat with such calm demeanor and care! I had them come back for a residual issue this week, and again--they were able to fit me in the day after I called! My kitty is doing much better, thanks to this AMAZING team who loves animals, knows how to treat them and understands their worried owners -- I couldn't dream up a better care option for my kitty and I'm so very grateful to Dr. Gavin and Stepheney!
