How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Belmont Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Hi there, Just wanted to share my great experience here. My little girl Maddie (chihuahua mix) is petrified at the vet. We have been with this hospital for over 5 yrs. We have seen some rough times around the pandemic era. Since then they have made many changes. Went in today for a dental. Big deal for us😉They have a wonderful receptionist, very professional! Then we moved on to Dava. Can’t say enough wonderful things about her! Compassionate, very professional and very thorough!! It made leaving Maddie so much easier. Dr Machado is great! Sense of humor and I like that he will be honest with me. As with any hospital…animal or human you need to stay on top of things. Yes veterinary medicine is pricey, especially in the bay area. Loved that they ran a dental special making you feel less “gouged” Another strong point is I have been able to get appts very quickly & thats huge Becky & Maddie Nicolini (Foster City)

I absolutely LOVE this pet hospital! I live in Mountain View but make the commute to Belmont because the service and care provided to my dog is exceptional! Pets are treated like human beings and provided the best care. My dog is always excited when I tell him we’re going to the vet! The hospital is clean, organized, and you can tell the staff enjoy working there. They treat their customers like royalty, both the pets and their owners. Do yourself a favor and start coming here! Trust me! It’ll be worth it! Thank you BPH for everything!

Took my 1yr old kitten to Belmont Pet Hospital today for the first time due to a suspected eye infected from play fighting with his sister. As a new cat mom I was very worried. I have never taken my own pet to a vet before and assumed the vets would try to run as many tests as they can to make me pay more money. I had called before arriving, stating I wanted the new pet exam + whatever service necessary to get my kittens eye looked at. I was in & out within 30 minutes. New pet exam complete and the ONLY extra service done was as I requested. The vets did not try to check every possible cause for more money, they did what was needed and I was charged appropriately. I was assured that my cat will be back to normal within a week, tops. Giving 4/5 stars only because this was my first time here so I cannot confidently give 5 yet, but I will absolutely be bringing my other kitty here for their annual check ups!

I'm new to the area and I called 10 different vets and they are the only one with availability in the area. At first I was a little suspicious. But the first appointment went great. They are communicative, caring and gets the job done. The price also seems reasonable (but maybe it's because I'm already used to high prices from the city).

Terrible. Went in due to my dog limping. The vet said it was a shoulder problem and wanted $1,200 for an x-ray. I said no. Went to another vet and found out my dog had a foxtail in his foot. Stay away!
