How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Non Profit Spay and Neuter Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They help low income people with an affordable price and can send you to places that provide vouchers to go towards your spay or neuter. I would recommend Lookibg at their website for appointments and they have "walk ins" on certain days. They offer assistance for feral animals. I've taken in a few ferals for fixing and it's stopped the breeding cycle. I also had a stray cat turn up a few months ago and I took her to the clinic. I have her inside and 3 ferals outside - a mother and her 2 sons. They hiss at me and run, but at least I know I'm not contributing to kern counties animal problem and over crowded shelters

I am presently "fostering' a 3 generation family of Tabbies that someone just washed their hands of. Many were "disappeared " including my little Siamese in the process. This clinic has worked with me extensively & are very kind. I now have 8 kittens to help protect & none are "easy" to catch.Several agencies, especially"Cat People" & "Kern Humane" have extended much needed assistance for which "we" are grateful! You just need to put out the effort and this Clinic can help guide you to a "responsible" outcome. That is what they are there for. Thank you, very grateful.

It's best to have an appointment. If not, you have to wait until somebody cancel.

The staff were very helpful and very kind to the fur babies I took two of my babies in to get fixed and the veterinarian removed a pellet in the inside of my fur baby's leg for no charge during surgery me. The veterinarian definitely has a heart. I absolutely recommend them...

Finding the place you need to pay attention to or you'll drive right by it. The staff is nice though.
