How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Veterinary Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine in Phoenix

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr Dragos is the best! Immediately upon walking in, my dog Luna is the most relaxed I've seen her. You can feel the amazing energy in the room. After Luna has her treatment, she is like a puppy again. So happy, then goes home and sleeps like a rock. It is like having my dog from 7 years ago back. She doesn't even act like a senior. I highly recommend going to see Dr Dragos!!

I wanted a second opinion for my cat, Lina, who has a tumor pressing on the nerves leading to her left hind leg, and surgery was the recommendeation. I liked the cat neurologist I had taken her to, but when I asked what caused this (food, environmental conditions, etc), she said it just happens. Not a very scientific answer. Plus, there was no advice on what could help prepare her for surgery/help her heal from it, such as diet, herbs, etc (even though Lina needs to lose a bit of weight). That was a real concern for me. I've had my own issues with autoimmune disorders, and in my experience most doctors aren't good at diagnosing them or treating them. I've had the most luck with Integrative doctors. So I wondered if there were Integrative veterinarians. I googled it and that's how I found Dr Pamela Dragos. Her credentials were a page long! I made the appointment, filled out the paperwork online, and had the doctors send the medical records Dr Dragos also wanted to see Lina's tongue so I uploaded two videos. Before the appointment she emailed me a summary of Lina, her condition, her treatments, info about the possible conditions, herbal supplements and diet suggestions (from priority supplements to additional helpful supplements), all with explanations and links to each. It was so incredibly thorough I felt like I was meeting my cat for the first time! I knew right then that I had found the right doctor for my precious baby girl. The Zoom appointment was just as thorough. Afterwards, Dr Dragos emailed me with a recap of our conversation along with dosage info for the supplements. Dr Dragos is very responsive both through text and email, so any questions get answered quickly. I know my baby girl is in good hands and I would absolutely recommend Dr Dragos to anyone wanting to take control of their pet's healing! ❤

I was skeptical of trying these services because alternative medicine was simply something I had never tried before for myself or my animals. Over the last 5 years I’ve adopted only senior dogs. This is what ultimately led me to seek help from Dr. Dragos. I cannot even put into words the improvement I have seen in my dogs, and for a multitude of different issues. Honestly, it makes me emotional when I think about it. Dr. Dragos is extremely knowledgeable on so many levels. Every time I see her, she is in the middle of some new certification. She’s constantly learning and continuing her studies and education to better serve the human and pets lives she touches. Amazing 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Dragos is amazing! Truly cares for animals. Helped my dog after seeing 2 specialists, 3 other vets and getting worse with Valley fever. He's doing much better now! Off all conventional meds that gave him bad side effects, also switched diet.

Dr. Dragos is smart, well spoken, she exuded a loving compassion toward the being I brought in to see her. I believe she shows that compassion toward all beings under her care . She gave my wife and I more time with our best buddy of 17 years, Cody. We have since adopted two great little beings that she will be seeing very soon. If you love the being under your care you owe it to yourself and to that being to see Dr. Dragos.
