How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love the Banfield on Shea and Tatum.. They take care of my Sasha so well.. A really intuitive, compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available fur emergency visits. I drive far but it's worth it. Dr. Bikson is an amazing vet!!! Highly recommend this Banfield.

We have had the best care from Dr. Bikson, Dr. Lee, Bobby and the staff! We have had 4 of our fur babies with them all of which had significant issues as they got older. They love and care for our puppies as much as we do. We appreciate all they have done for us!

Updated review, they dont deserve any star. 02/26/2020- After being a member for more than an year, when I tried to schedule an appointment in case of emergency ( 10 mins max) they would straight away deny. My dog was bit by another dog while playing and the cut was kind of superficial but we wanted an expert opinion whether we should give some medicine or injection and called banfield and they would not even agree to meet for 10 minutes. They told us there is availability in other banfield and they will check and let me know but then after keeping me on hold for 15 mins gave me their phone number ,that is it. My dog is on the monthly plan of banfield , despite that in case of small emergency I expect them to make some adjustment in schedule. Even the Vet is not available for on call support or suggestion on phone. If the traffic is more why not increase the number of vet and hospitals and if you think you have sufficient vet and hospital then why are you not able to make small adjustment of 10 minutes. Whenever we schedule his appointment it is not that the vet sees him on time, we always end up waiting for the vet for more than 15 minutes ,so if we can wait for 15 minutes (more or less) everytime, sometime the vet and hospital should also consider adjusting some schedule and accommodating emergency situation for pets who are on their yearly plan otherwise I thing the monthly insurance plan is much better. I will also write about their neutering surgery they performed and how it went wrong.

I can’t say enough good things about Banfield at Tatum and Shea. From the moment we walk in, we are greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the well-being of animals. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure our pups feel comfortable and cared for. They take pride in providing a personalized experience whenever our pups have needed special treatment, I always receive a courtesy to check in and ensure everything is going well at home. Lastly, I can’t thank the doctors enough for their incredible dedication and compassion for our fur babies. Before one of our pups passed away, they were there for us for some final treatments where they balanced quality of life and a realistic treatment plan. I’m so grateful for their care and tact every step of the way. I’ll have a hard time going anywhere else!

Our experience with this Banfield is very 'hit or miss,' at times. Sometimes the staff is very nice and understanding of my pet with behavioral problems and other times its a whole other set of team members where I have to redescribe my entire pet's medical history with them. In the beginning, it was fine but now I'm really just considering terminating my wellness plan with them. My most recent vet visit was far from a good one, if not the worst experience I've had so far. I won't go into depth but I am currently looking into other vet clinics that can respect my pet's boundaries and accommodate his behavioral struggles. Decent team if your pet doesn't suffer from anxiety or other issues.
