How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Apache Trail Veterinary Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My first visit to this vet with any animal. I brought a stray cat for treatment for a nose that has been scabbing and bleeding for the several months he has been around my place. Dr. Legge immediately recognized the problem and began his treatment. The cat's nose is looking better.

I don't like the secretary's attitude. My dog is very anxious, and it was not handled well at all. She started the appointment with a comment on how anxious dogs are "just as bad" as mean dogs. Absolutely not. Just because he needs to be eased into something does not mean he's aggressive. She also went to put a muzzle on him by pinning him down automatically and wrestling him with it and I put a stop to it and got it on him without a problem. I was legitimately shaking as I put it on because I felt so bad for him. He was absolutely horrified. I could see it in his eyes. Now I understand why dogs are afraid of vets.

Dr. Leggee is amazing and patient, Cindy is super helpful and sweet, I have brought both my dogs to them and they are well cared for and they always address all my worries when it comes to caring for my dogs.

New to this area and randomly pick up this place due to the closed distance. We are surprised to get an appointment in next day unlike the other animal hospital to wait at least a week or so. The reception lady is super friendly and made you feel like home, Dr is very experience and also explain everything in details. We would definitely come back again.
