How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Legacy Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I've been taking my Fur Baby Bambi to Legacy Animal Hospital for over 2 years. Dr. Toribio and Dr. Neal have taken excellent care of Bambi - they are so kind and thorough. Madison is a Jewel - Always so pleasant and nice. Love this place...

Been bringing my pup Mellow here since he was a baby. He’s 9 months now. Our Dr is amazing and always giving me great tips and advice. She’s so kind and has great customer service skills. Very personable. The staff is friendly and I enjoy going here. Super happy I picked this place and that they are so great. Right by my house too! Also, I recommend the puppy package! Made everything so easy with shots. Was able to stay on top of all of them! 5 stars!

Dr Toribio has been taking care of our dog family for years. We followed him from the old office to the new office. His service has always been impeccable and compassionate. His staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. It’s nice to know you’re not just a number here, he and his staff remember you from visit to visit. My appts. have been followed up by a wellness phone call, showing me concern doesn't stop as we leave the office. Dr. T's job is his passion he loves animals, he loves what he does, and he projects this in the care given. He has always been there for us for routine work, surgery, and end of life support. Without reservation I highly recommend Dr. T and Legacy Animal Hospital.

It’s a shame we’ll be switching vets as this place was so close to home and had great experiences at first. We scheduled a surgery appointment for our French bulldog in late December 2021 who had cherry eye in both eyes. Came home with eye swelling which was expected. However weeks after his surgery the swelling was not getting any better and the vet recommended keeping him on steroid eye drops. He had 3 follow up visits each about 2-3 weeks out from one another and each time we’d get a run around saying his eyes would get better but we honestly had no faith that they would until we finally told the vet we were not happy with the results. You’d expect they do the right thing and fix his eyes but all that was offered was the possibility of a discount for another surgery. I have attached photos of what my poor baby’s eyes looked before surgery and as of today (4/29). Basically unchanged if not worse. We spent nearly $1500 on the surgery. I have seen pictures online of dogs before and after cherry eye surgery and they look like they never had cherry eye to begin with. Also, read on another vets website that the swelling should only last about one week. -John and Miguel
