They was absolutely excellent with their care to my puppy, Sunny. She had an abscessed tooth. They cared for her and we picked her up. Affordable and shes been happier than ever!! Def recommend the staff are very nice people! And it dont break your pocket to care for your loved ones.

My dad took his cat up there yesterday. They were spaying her. She is a very gentle cat. We called to see if she was done. They said yes we went to pick her up. They were very rude mean, practically threw our cat at us and didn’t give us any paperwork saying she got spayed I would not recommend this place for anyone who loves their pets to go very rude people.

If I had the time or resources, I would already be pursuing legal intervention or demanding an external investigation into this clinic. At this point, I am still deciding whether to take this to the veterinary board or go directly to the police, because what happened to our dog is something no family should ever have to experience. We got our dog on Valentine’s Day when she was only 6 weeks old, which feels fitting because she was the most loving dog we had ever seen. We raised her for nearly 10 years. She was family in every way. She trusted us to protect her, and we trusted this clinic to care for her. Our dog had been treated here multiple times before with acceptable results, so we trusted them. That trust was betrayed. We brought her in for a simple procedure, just a couple of lumps removed, something she had done before with no complications. While she was there, they suddenly claimed she had a UTI which has happened before, but then added that she had high blood sugar, something she had never been diagnosed with in her entire life. Over the next five days and nights, we received late evening phone updates around 9 or 9:30 PM, always the same, that she was a little better, that she was improving. Then on the final night, Dr. Cato himself told us, “she is doing fine, she is a dandy, come pick her up at 10:30 in the morning.” We had no reason to doubt that. We were relieved. We were hopeful. And then we arrived the next morning only to be informed without a phone call and without any warning, that she was dead. Their explanation “Her blood sugar must have bottomed out” For a dog who has never had any blood sugar issues ever. A dog they told us was doing fine barely 12 hours earlier. If this were an isolated incident, maybe it could be dismissed as a freak tragedy. But it is not. After reading other reviews and hearing similar stories of questionable care, it leaves me unsure whether this is the result of serious incompetency or something deliberate. I cannot say which it is, and I am not making a claim about what actually happened, but the uncertainty itself is terrifying. Something is clearly wrong, and it needs to be looked into by people who have the authority and training to evaluate these situations. That is why I am strongly considering taking this to the authorities. Something does not add up, and it deserves real oversight. Until there is outside accountability, I would not recommend entrusting any pet to Dr. Cato’s clinic. What happened to our dog should never happen to anyone else.

Back in 2019 I took one of my huskies there because he wasn't eating and just didnt feel well, so I was worried. They wanted to keep him overnight, which was fine. I called the next day to check on him and the lady said he had dies from pneumonia. Impossible! About an hour passed, and that same lady called me back and said she had read the wrong chart, and said that my Reaper Bleu had passed from parvo. He had no signs of parvo when I took him in. Fast forward to 2021....my female huskies both had a litter of pups...well they caught parvo. I took them to Cato, called to check on them the next day, 3 had passed away, and they said one was developing fever and they wanted to keep him. I drive down there to see the pups, and they had not been giving iv's for dehydration or anything(I asked for a list of their meds and how much they were given). Took that paper to Dyersburg Animal Hospital to Dr. Dickerson, and he said that it looked like they weren't given anything for dehydration. The pup made it, they said was developing fever, but really hadn't been fed or watered ehile he was there. He was starving and thirsty when I got him back. I was livid 😡 I went off on that whole staff and was tempting to contact a lawyer for how they neglected to care for our animals to right way. Because if that was us failing to care for our animals, we'd be in jail for animal neglect. Now let's not mention, how dirty that clinic is, and how awful the smell is when you go there. I almost wanna throw up when I walk in there. That place is horrible and the staff is rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND taking your animals here.

A huge thank you to Dr Cato and his staff who took such excelent care of our sweet Laya hearing the word parvo scared us terribly. But they took wonderful care of her for a whole week was so kind and thoughtful whenever I called. Words cannot express how hapoy we are with their service.
