How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Kowaliga Whole Health Pet Care

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr Battistella has been taking care of our beloved pets for many years. She, Dr. Morgan and her staff give excellent care. Over the years, she has administered acupuncture to my ailing poodle, emergency care to our tiny dog, Ellie, and dental cleaning to our numerous dogs and cat. She and her staff go the extra mile. Being a “crunchy” person myself, I love that Dr. B is educated and trained in holistic vet care. I highly recommend Kowaliga Veterinary Clinic. They truly care about my pets!

These are Vets that care, they treat your Furbaby and take time to explain things to you and get a proper back history. They use both eastern medicine and western medicine for a holnistic and full body health care for your pet. They even call to check up on your furbaby the next day or so after. Is hard to find a Veterinarian that will take all the time necessary to listen to and address your concerns. They are worth the drive and amazing. Wish they had an emergency hospital because they are truly dedicated to your pets and you. Love them highly recommend them.

Kowaliga Whole Health Pet Care - the best vet on Lake Martin. Dr Josh was my vet in Birmingham and now that he is here, I feel much more confident about bringing my dog to the lake. All the people in the office are super helpful and friendly! A great place indeed!

I was so pleased with our first visit! I appreciate not only how thorough Dr. Battistella was with both dogs, but also how well she listened to me. I love the checklist with notes that she left for each dog as well. It was refreshing seeing her take the time to do that and I can tell that she really values her patients. She is also funny and very easy to get along with. The clinic was clean and welcoming and we look forward to our next visit!

my almost 13 year old arthritic pup went for her first acupuncture. Dr B did a good exam and the acupuncture went very smoothly. My girl didn't even flinch. She's walking better, even does a bit of running, does not hobble as she did before and seems quite a bit more comfortable. We'll be returning for our second appointment.
