Very Good

I have been with Petsecure for 4 years now. My German Shepherd has always been very sickly. We have made probable close to $5,000 dollars in claims even with 3 major exclusions (skin, digestive and dental occlusion). They are usually very prompt with their payments. I usually receive them 2-3 weeks after I file it. The customer representatives are very helpful. The only negative feedback I have is to do with a clause in the plan that allows them to reduce co-insurance down to 50% if you fall within the top percentile of claims. I have fallen down to 60%. This is not permanent and is reassesed every 6 months. All in all I am very happy with my choice.

They were Great - until they changed underwriters.

I loved Pet's Best. I signed up for it within a day of it becoming available in my state! I recommended it to family, friends, strangers - anyone with a dog that would listen! They paid every claim submitted in a timely manner - and with absolutely no problems. And now they've changed underwriters - and no longer are keeping one of their promises. They HAD a wonderful program where you could pay an extra $12 a year and have your dogs premiums stay the same until their 8th birthday. When I saw this I thought "WOW - you'd be crazy NOT to do that". I used that as a selling point to have a good friend get the policy even though money was tight at their house. I read the agreement carefully and looked for any loop holes - but when I read the part of the contract that said 'Discontinuation of Fixed Premium Program: the company may, at any time in its discretion, discontinue offering the Fixed Premium option to new insured. The company, however, will continue to honor and provide the Fixed Premium optional coverage for any existing insured who has purchased the option prior to termination of the program, subject to the terms and conditions of this policy.' I figured - GREAT! I'm in the program - I'll just have the yearly fees automatically be deducted - and even if they discontinue the program I'll still be fine - it says right there that they will continue to honor the fixed premium. Well - my policy auto renewed 2 weeks ago - and when it did I was told that the underwriter changed to Aetna and they were discontinuing the fixed premium program. I thought to myself 'that's fine - my original policy states they'll honor the program even if discontinued'. Well - apparently not. Apparently their policies and honor mean nothing. Since Aetna doesn't want to continue with the program - they will discontinue it for everyone - no matter what the original policy states. And it's not even a tiny raise in price - for me it's an increase of $150 a year for the premium and an additional $25 per visit for the deductible. Now, unfortunately I can't sing their praises everywhere I go - since I have no way of knowing what they will decide to change next - and can't trust that they will hold true to our original agreement.

Very happy with this coverage

I have had other insurances for my pets and for the value and coverage it's amazing. Just like a person there's a deductible but after that everything is pretty much covered. I am very happy with the coverage and always amazed at how quickly you get reimbursed.

Very Caring Company!

I had a miniature Dachshund, who was jumped on by a much larger dog and broke his back. He was in the Animal Hospital for a two weeks, and on many medications, but tragically succumbed to his injuries. Thank goodness for Pet Secure! They covered the majority of my costs for his vet stay, medications, even paid out a small life insurance sum when he died. They even sent out a handwritten card saying how sorry they were that I lost my pet.I haven't yet adopted another dog, but when I do, I will definitely be going with Pet Secure again!

Embrace Treats Our Pup Like Family

The past eight months have been quite challengeing emotionally for my husband and I. Our 3 yr old boxer, Mable has been diagnosed with Kidney Disease, high blood pressure and they found a mass growing on her jawbone. Luckily we have a great vet and Embrace to help us through the many surgeries. Mable is like an actual child to us and we would do whatever it takes to keep her healthy. Thankfully, Embrace has helped us through financially without hassle. Not only have they not denied us on reimbursement but, they ask how she's doing and send belly rubs and kisses! Their support is warm and sincere and I couldn't recommend a better insurance provider for your child...I mean pet!

I highly recommend Trupanion

Trupanion processes claims extremely quickly. I have been very happy with Trupanion and would recommend it to anyone considering pet insurance. I only wish they would consider covering medicine for pica (when pets eat non-food items, like rubber gloves and electrical cords) because the medications which curtail the behavior are relatively inexpensive compared to the cost of surgery. As a result of the pica, my cat has had two endoscopies and one abdominal surgery. Medications for "behavioral problems" aren't covered, but should be for pica when it can cost thousands of dollars for medical procedures and prevent injury to a pet.

Excellent care for 17 1/4 years

I have had Pet Plan / Pet Secure for 171/4 years. I had two Bichon's until March / 09 and now I have one. I have always had the best plan for my dogs and even when I only had 50 % coverage because of multiple issues they always paid my claims promptly and allowed me to provide the very best care for my dogs. My dogs have and had many many issues. Rufus (17 1/4 ) has kidney failure, Cushings disease, recurring anal gland infections, a heart murmer, allergies requiring allergy shots biweekly since age two and he had a near death experience when he was 12 when his larynx collapsed at the groomers. Along with 3 crutiate ligament surgeries , a laser eye treatment, dentistry from a veterinary denttist and countless other medical issues Pet Secure Insurance has paid a large part in maintaining Rufus's (relative) good health. He does not look ill and he is maintaining his weight and is still going strong. We had Toni for almost 13 years. She had bladder stones, crutiate ligament surgery, heart disease and many surgeries to remove benign lumps. Again my experience with Pet Sercure has been amazing and I heartily recommend it to any caring and responsible pet owner. I never wanted to second guess what vber my vet told me the dogs needed. I never wondered about the cost of a procedure. My claims were processed quickly and I never had a problem. Both dogs eventually were at the 50 % coverage rate but 50 % of their very large bills was still a great help. Kudos to Pet Secure for providing excellent pet insurance.

Quick, personal,and professional service

Yeah to Embrace! I was surprised how quickly and efficiently my claim was handled. Being that I work in the health care industry (with people, not pets) myself and deal daily with the run-around that most often occurs before settling claims, I was expecting to have to fight for my reimbursement when my dog needed vet care. Embrace was so professional to work with; an agent was available to speak with upon one call, the claim form was easy to fill out, I received immediate feedback regarding the status of my claim, and reimbursement was in the mail within 2 weeks. I know some major Insurance companies that could learn a thing or two about customer service from Embrace. Keep up the good work!

PetsBest is the Best

PetsBest is the best insurance company out there in my opinion. My dog got a herniated disk a month ago and we had to take him to MedVet and see the specialist. We had to do bloodwork, MRI, x-rays, surgery, hospitalization, medication and more. After all said and done, it cost around $4000. PetsBest approved my claim 5 days after it was submitted with no questions asked. I had other small claims in the past that were taken care of as well, but this one was by far the biggest expense, that I was not prepared for. Thank you PetsBest for being there. My dog is walking again:)
