Figo | Pet Insurance Review

I used FIgo for three months but recently cancelled them for another insurer. I'm giving them two stars because their customer service is good and we always received prompt responses. My issue with them is pricing and the structure of their insurance. They charge a higher monthly premium than other insurers. They charge the co-pay prior to applying the deductible, which, frankly, is ridiculous. It makes no sense that they should be reducing your out-of-pocket expense by the co-pay before applying it to your deductible. Lastly, they don't cover the cost of vet fees. I'm honestly surprised they have as many customers as they do with a structure like this. I switched to another insurance company which will save me $20/mo, covers the cost of vet fees, and applies expenses to the deductible before co-pay. No brainer.

In my opinion Figo Pet Insurance is amazing. They are very transparent and customer service oriented. When I joined, which was not long ago I read through everything and I called Figo and asked a lot of questions for clarification. But now something happened to my pup out of no where and Figo followed/covered exactly what I read and they communicated. I think it is a well structured insurance company. My only advice is to read / talk with customer service and know what your plan covers. Take time to know what a pre existing condition/symptom is because no pet insurance will cover that. I fully trust Figo and I will proudly recommend this insurance to my family, friends and vet office!

Figo insurance is hands down one of the best companies I have ever had to work with. I have used this insurance for almost 3 years and 2 dogs. I had to submit a few claims over the years and the process is quick and easy. My claims were reviewed and approved the same day that I submitted! Payment direct deposited into my account 48 hours later. Fantastic customer service, fantastic coverage and peace of mind for puppy owners!

The mobile is extremely convenience, easy to use and the claim process is fast. My dog had an emergency and went to the hospital for stitches for her open wound. I filed the claim from my phone and uploaded all necessary documents from the mobile app. The claim was approved within two days and the funds was received within 4 days.

Very efficient processing if claims.
