How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Hunter Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

All the staff is so compassionate, gentle and professional. The new building is clean and practical, with ample parking and waiting areas. It's so helpful that there are separate entrances for cats and dogs. I trust Hunter Vet completely with my precious fur babies.

Their new facility is so nice & clean! Sitting for humans and leash hook for the pups to be secured in most rooms. This is our cat Ghost at their first vet appointment. The Doctor was super knowledgeable and the vet tech played with our traumatized grumpy babe enough to get purrs & was very sweet.

Staff there are amazing, and they always manage to get my cat in when she needs care, whether it's a set appointment, a same day appointment, or even in an emergency. They all seem to really actually care a great deal for people's pets. I appreciate that the most. I feel this clinic goes above and beyond.

Hunter has been like a second family for us this year. They are knowledgeable with Conures, which is difficult to find in a vet who also works with the usual dog and cat pets. We have had to take my dog in several times this year, and a food allergy was discovered to be the problem. Thank goodness that was all! Up until that source of the issue was discovered, he had been throwing up on a weekly basis. Sometimes daily. We always feel safe and welcome with our vet. Thanks for taking such good care of our animal family Hunter!

We bring both our pup and our cat here. They are kind, comforting and willing to answer questions I feel are "silly". The staff is friendly and easy to get a hold of. Pricing is reasonable. Parking is easy around the back of the building or on the street. When we brought our dog in the first time, he just laid down and chilled. He made quick friends with all of the staff and is excited to go every time!
