How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Sound Equine Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Sound Equine has been taking excellent care of my horses for many years. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. They are compassionate, thorough, and always there when I need them!

I hauled my horse in a couple days ago to see Dr. Smith, who seemed very capable and confident, and she was very pleasant. She diagnosed my horse's uveitis straightaway and sent us home with opthalmic ointment, which is already helping. My first experience with Sound Equine and I'm sure not the last. I greatly appreciate them squeezing me in on same day call.

Great veterinarians and staff! Professional, competent, kind and efficient. Dr. Cori Youngblood is a rockstar. Took my gelding in for a lameness exam. Got a diagnosis and treatment the same day and I'm back to riding my horse! 🐎
