I would not recommend this facility to anyone!!!!!!! We brought our 11 month old Holland loop Bunny in for tummy issue. They told us to keep him there overnight ($1,400) The next morning we called because they never contacted us. When I finally talked to someone they told me they gave him extra pain medicine but only oral antibiotics, because someone “said” we didn’t approve IV antibiotics. I thought that’s why we left him there was to get more aggressive with his care. THEY REALLY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY THEY WANT YOU TO SPEND $$ TO DO NOTHING!!!! They killed our 11 month Bunny by over dosing pain medication and he went into cardiac arrest and died. We will miss all of your sweet kisses. Has anyone else experienced the same situation here? I would like to talk to you.

The ONLY place I could get help for my 11 year old rabbit on an emergency basis. The entire vet system is overwhelmed with clients right now and I tried calling about 15 places before finally getting this one. They could even get me an appointment for the ER. I waited like 15 seconds for Rabbit to be seen when I walked in. The front desk staff was caring, efficient and communicative. Dr Coyne was the same and so helpful when it came to explaining what was going on, cost concerns and listening to my thoughts. The up front cost for emergency services was a lot, but they know that and try to work with you from there to make it as feasible as possible. My little dude is back at home, still recovering from a GI stasis scare but feeling better. Thanks guys!

My rat was suddenly in respiratory distress and not doing well, I was able to bring him in same day even though I was not an already existing client. He was given oxygen therapy and sent home with medication. Within 24 hours he has drastically improved. He went from struggling to breathe/not eating/lethargic to energetic/playful and has an appetite again. I am forever grateful to this clinic for seeing my baby when nobody else would. It is certainly not cheap to take your pet into an emergency vet but it is absolutely worth it to see your pet feeling better. I so appreciate the effort and compassion of all veterinary staff who work long and stressful hours to serve the people and creatures of their community, it is an often unthanked and painful job. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Hope & Barbecue the rat

A month ago My green cheek conure Ms. Skittles needed urgent medical attention. I called CBEAM early in the morning and was able to drop her off two hours later. She got the attention she needed and I got an in-depth explanation of what was ailing her, her medications, and how to give them to her. In addition, I received frequent phone updates. Today was her follow up. It was a drop off appointment, but I didn’t need to wait long. Today she got a clean bill of health! I really want to thank the wonderful team of receptionists, vets and techs! Thank you for helping my little girl feel well again! This place is worth the long drive!

I'm writing this review because I truly believe in the team at The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (CBEAM). I can't help but express my deep appreciation for their professional, compassionate care. I'm particularly grateful for Dr. Strunk, Dr. Hyde, Dr. Music, and Dr. Plass. My journey with CBEAM started in 2020 when Dr. Strunk saved my 3-month-old ferret, Silver, from life-threatening anemia and a rare autoimmune disorder. Fast forward to today, he just turned three years old, and I am incredibly grateful. From there, we have had mystery illnesses, infections, insulinoma, and a host of common medical troubles that come with ferret ownership. We have been supported throughout every challenge, no matter the prognosis, diagnosis, or outcome. Since 2020, we've had 14 ferrets (11 are still with us), and the CBEAM staff have been incredibly helpful, especially Patty, the billing coordinator, who keeps our records straight. The care and support we received from Dr. Hyde and Dr. Strunk during our losses in 2022 and 2023 were invaluable. Compared to other vet clinics we've experienced, CBEAM is the best. All my ferrets are in Dr. Strunk's capable hands, and I couldn't be more at peace with that. The commitment and top-tier care from the CBEAM team have not just met my expectations; they've gone above and beyond, time and again. That's why I'm recommending them so strongly. I'm confident other pet owners will experience the same satisfaction and peace of mind I have with CBEAM. ..... It's true that CBEAM's 24/7 operations and energetic atmosphere can seem intense, and its high-quality services do come at a premium. However, in my experience, the investment translates into exceptional care for our cherished pets. I recommend asking questions, ensuring clarity, and understanding the costs upfront to navigate this environment effectively. This approach streamlines the process and helps eliminate potential misunderstandings. Additionally, cultivating open communication with your care providers and setting clear intentions and boundaries for your pet's treatment can significantly enhance your overall experience and your pet's health outcome. This collaborative approach underscores your involvement in your pet's care and aligns your expectations with the veterinary team.
