How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Valley Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Valley Vet! We were in there a lot with our boxer Titus who had a mast cell tumor removed. Dr. Bean was amazing, knowledgeable and caring. She always answered every question in detail and in terms we could understand! We NEVER felt rushed through our appts. The front desk and techs are amazing too! So, so nice and caring as well. Every time we were in there, they were mopping and keeping the place clean. Valley Vet really took care of us and Titus' tricky situation and I would highly recommend them!

couldn’t recommend this place enough. we brought in our 9 week old puppy, bagel, when he was having diarrhea and vomiting symptoms today. the check in process was easy and they made sure we understood the entire process and were very comfortable. both the vet tech and the doctor were very sweet with our puppy and treated him with such gentle care. they gave us so many recommendations for treatment and made sure we had the most cost effective plan to fit our needs and bagels needs. we will be returning for any future needs! thank you thank you thank you valley veterinary hospital!

I have wanted to leave a 2,000 star review but haven’t been able to as the tears still flow. My Big Kitten, Murphy, started to have swollen paws. Having worked in the veterinary world, I knew what it was but denied it. I called every hospital on a Friday afternoon to get my Big Kitten seen and no one would or could fit him in for at least two weeks. VVH was my last call and they said I could come in but there may be a wait. I went over right away and waited maybe 10 minutes. They gave me an estimate for an X-ray which I quickly approved. It confirmed what I knew…last stages of heart failure. The doctor walked me through my options and I never felt judged by not opting to go to a specialist or have an ECG done. They drained the fluid and put him on meds, and he was good for 2 weeks. When he wouldn’t correct his front paw (curled under) when he walked, no longer wanted treats and stopped eating, I knew. I screamed and cried and got mad that their lives are so short. VVH took my call and they understood what I needed between my sobs. They got me in right away, again, and confirmed the fluid was back around his heart. It was even more difficult for him to breathe. The vet and I had the quality of life discussion, followed by what to expect during the euthanasia process. They let me call my family and gave them time to get to the hospital to spend our last moments with Big Kitten. I lost all concept of time but we had to have been there for at least two hours. They never pressured us. They waited for us to reach out to them. They gave me a blanket and let me hold him as long as I needed, though it was never long enough. Big Kitten gave me over 17 years of love. I hope I did him right. VVH assured me the decision was the right one from a medical point of view. My husband had to carry me out of the room as I was so distraught. There was nothing but love and respect from the staff and no amount of words can thank them enough. From me and Big Kitten, thank you.

I went into this place over a year ago with my 13 year old dog that i have had ever since i was 12 (Im 25 now). I brought her in sobbing because I knew that she was very very sick and needed help or else she was going to die. Everyone there was so nice and soothing to me, but I want to extend my gratitude to the doctor. He immediately found out what was wrong with her and he was the one who performed emergency surgery on her. I genuinely didn’t think she was going to make it, i sobbed and sobbed all day thinking there was no way she would survive the surgery because he was honest about the fact that the risks are really high for her. I appreciated that he was honest. But i appreciate even more that he did his best and was able to save my dogs life. As I sat at home for 6 hours without knowing the news, i had assumed she was dead. My heart was broken that i wouldn’t be able to see her happy again and running after her little chew toys. I prayed and prayed that she could just have a little longer to stay here and be happy just one more time because she deserves that. She is the best dog anyone could ask for. Anyways, later in the day my dad tells me that she made it through the surgery and all the pain went away. I was so so tremendously grateful and as I still am for the workers in this hospital who saved my dogs life. She is now happier and running around more than ever. It truly brings me the biggest smile to see my sweet Leah get to live more life even if it is for a few years longer. THANK YOU SO MUCH DOCTOR! I THINK ABOUT YOU AND SAY MY THANK YOU PRAYERS TO YOU DAILY!! YOU GAVE ME EXTRA YEARS WITH MY DOG AND FOR THAT I CAN NEVER REPAY YOU!

I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. From the moment we walked in, to the time we left, everyone was so kind and accommodating. My husband and I brought in our mini dachshund puppy on a Monday at 8am and we only had to wait a few minutes until they took him in. (I did some research beforehand and saw they took walk-ins which was awesome.) They determined he had acute neuropathy and a high fever which was very hard for us to hear. We decided to put him down. We were a wreck and the sweet assistant (I can't remember her name!) kept on checking in on us to make sure we were ok. Dr Park was so sweet and gentle with our little guy and talked us through the whole process. Pricing was also very transparent which we appreciated, cause we were on a tight budget. In the end, humane euthanasia was the best option, because our little pup would have most likely suffered his whole life with his condition. We decided to have a private cremation and we got his ashes back the same week. Another sweet surprise was we got a card in the mail from the entire vet staff with sweet notes. I honestly can't believe how incredible this place is. We are planning on getting a new puppy soon and we are absolutely bringing him back here for future check ups. Thank you again Valley Vet, Dr Park, and all the sweet assistants that helped make the process a bit easier.
