How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Village Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I took my 20 month old very active dog into Village Vet today. They were great!! The way they greeted my easily excitable dog kept her calm. Mya had her nails trimmed with no drama! This was the first pleasant vet visit we've had since we adopted her 14 months ago! Thank you Village Vet, it's nice to know there are vets still around that really care about their patients. Mya finally has a great vet!!

We've used Village Vet for 7 years now, through the end of life of both a cat and a dog, and adopting a pair of kittens with special needs. The doctors and staff have always been compassionate, helpful, and attentive. We've never had a bad experience at Village Vet and can't find any reason to change our veterinary care now.

Great experience!! I called at 1pm and had an appointment at 3:30pm the same day. Very reasonable prices. They called the previous Vet that had treated my adopted puppies to gather all of the information they needed. They did not pressure us into any treatment. They simply told us what was available and recommended. We opted for several tests and also had our girls micro chipped. We were in and out within 45 minutes. We will definitely be taking our girls back to Village Vet for all of their future care.

I've been going to Village Vet for around 25 years. I really enjoy going there. They take the time to talk to you about your animal and everyone at the front desk is wonderful. I've only had great experiences here. They've been taking care of my Chihuahua for over 17 years.

My family has been taking our dogs here for over 30 years. I have moved to different cities and states needing vet services at each one and none of them compare to this clinic. Ed is absolutely fantastic - I cringe thinking about having to take my pups anywhere else.
