How to Save on Veterinary Costs at North Boros Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I took my 16 year old blind senior mini poodle here at the recommendation of Senior Hearts rescue. Cannot say better things about the experience I had with North Boros! From Pierre's vaccinations, to all the panicked visits when his heart failure and mental health was declining and he stopped eating, to his final euthanasia shot at 18, the staff at North Boros really care about animals and love them. I just rescued a puppy and am taking her here as well. Go early for the walk-in hours because they are busy!!

Every experience that I've had at North Boros has been phenomenal. Whether it's walk in hours or a scheduled appointment, all of the vets have truly cared about my pet and taken the time to make sure that he gets the care he needs. When I've had to call with a concern, the front desk staff have always been incredible helpful in listening and helping me come up with a plan, even getting us in same day.

Dr. Kaitlyn and the entire staff were amazing during our difficult time. They were extremely compassionate but they treated our loved family member with love and as if he was theirs. Thanks for all of you doing what you ❤️. Your love and compassion will never be forgotten.

The ONLY reason I'm giving this business 3 stars is because of the actual vets here. Based on my experiences visiting this clinic, the vets are very caring towards my animals (dog and cat). However, the front desk is horrendous every time I interact with them. Whether I'm calling or checking out after an appointment, I have been repeatedly met with attitude. When checking out after my last appointment, they ignored me for a solid 5 minutes as I stood at the desk. When I called today about my dog having a potential injury, they offered no insight and basically treated me like an idiot. It's clear why they work with animals and not people...yikes.

Kaitlyn Morgan was so caring when our dog was sick with diarrhea. She seemed very concerned and was so great with our dog while examining him. Our other dog ended up sick after and she squeezed us in quickly to help since we were just dealing with the issue with the precious dog she had seen. She was very thorough and listened to the questions we had provided answers. Thank you!
