Love this place! Walk in and tell em ur tryna check out the cats, they’ll tell you their few rules and let you right in, they don’t rush you at all, u can chill with the cats out of the cage and take your time figuring out which one likes the same music you do, or which one has the best mouse-catching skills, bring a laser and have some tryouts! To take them home the younger ones go for $150 and the older ones go for $100, idk back in my day they practically handed it to us for free just to take em off their hands, maybe a couple bucks for processing. Yeah yeah ik you’re gonna say they gotta get reimbursed for all the vaccinations, microchipping, neutering, testing for diseases.. and so on. ok I guess I’ll just pick one up of the streets like they did back in the day, shaw you think bubby gruna vaccinated all her cats?!? Of course not! the world has changed. Getting back on topic here- this place is great, safe healthy cats, friendly nice staff, and a “go to” if you’re trying to pick up a cat like a normal human does today.

Amazing experience! We applied to adopt a cat and got a call from Steve within just a few days. After visiting, we found Duey - and while we may have rescued him, we truly needed him just as much. Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The cats are clearly well cared for, with vaccines, microchipping, and spay/neuter already done. As first-time adopters without supplies, we were so grateful that Pet Pantry generously provided everything we needed to get started. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to adopt. Thank you for all that you do!

Edited to add- the staff/volunteer’s are heaven sent. My beloved ginger girl developed cancer as my husband was in treatment for cancer. She was waisting away just as he did; so o knew she was probably past the most opportune time to euthanize her. My regular vet wanted over $400 for a private cremation and euthanasia. Our three cats would cast the same to cremate as my husband did. I’m on a fixed income with a child and can’t afford daily necessities. After emailing several places; Pet Pantry not only quoted me an amount but felt more appropriate for a small cat, but they showed such compassion in our email exchanges and then in person too. While they took her in back to administer medication, they would then bring her back around to me and allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted to (we always need more time. Just one more day) I held her while they injected her with the next two parts of their three part system. I know she did not suffer even an iota as she was euthanatized. She simply was relaxed as she could ever imagine, and I talked softly to her and had her happily purring. It felt more akin to the cremation company I used for my husband, where allowing loved ones to help and be part of the process, helps the mystery and grief surrounding it. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I loveeee, the pet pantry. they are such an amazing organization and team there! Steve the adoption specialist is amazing and knows what he’s doing, and is the best!!! This is my third time adopting a cat from them and i love them so much! 10/10 recommend going here to adopt a furry friend!
