How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Staten Island Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Great staff at VCA. They've been treating my pooch since she first came home with us. She's treated like royalty there although she still hides under the chair and pees on the floor when she's nervous. Dr. Briskman is fantastic with my pooch. He's patient, answers all questions and calls to follow up on her progress after being treated. I highly recommend‼️

After I was turned away by Staten Island Veterinary Group for JUST a chip scan for a stray cat, the amazing people at SI Animal Hospital gave him a chip scan AND a full checkup, shots, and tests. Absolute heroes these people are. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

I recommend Dr. Eugene Briskman and Staten Island Animal Hospital for animal care. I went in for an emergency situation for my pup Kobe. Kathy was able to fit us in within a few hours for an emergency visit which was great. Briskman gave us the reassurance we needed and also flagged neglected skin allergies. He has great bedside manners and doesn't force any unnecessary procedures down your throat. He put Kobe on special shampoo and allergy meds and Kobe is almost completely free of dry skin. Can't thank Staten Island Animal Hospital enough.
