I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Veterinary Eye Center in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I came from Queens to Park Slope for my dog's first visit and we were both nervous. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, welcoming and courteous, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The technicians were absolutely outstanding. They were so kind and attentive with my dog, taking the time to comfort her and make her feel safe. By the time we met with Dr Hanes about 10 minutes later, my dog was completely at ease and no longer nervous at all. Dr Hanes was truly incredible, compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough and so gentle with my dog. All three members of the care team gave her such amazing attention throughout the entire visit and it was clear how much they genuinely care about the animals they treat. I am beyond grateful for the exceptional care we received during our first visit and would strongly recommend this practice to anyone looking for specialized eye care for their pets. Your animals will be treated with kindness, patience, and expertise from start to finish.

Dr. Hanes is absolutely amazing! I was nervous having Sophie going through her surgery but he explained everything in great details where I felt comfortable to proceed with the surgery. He also used his whiteboard to explain the surgery. I am a first time dog owner and this truly meant a lot to me. He answered all my questions and concerns. He treated Sophie (my dog) with great care and Sophie loved him. Sophie had to remove to skin around her eyes and had cherry eyes on both of her eyes. Dr. Hanes completed both surgeries at the same time. It's been two weeks since the surgery and Sophie looks amazing! I truly recommend this clinic especially Dr. Hanes! Thank you Dr. Hanes for everything!
