How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Schumacher Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This is an outstanding veterinary office! Some of the clerical staff are very grumpy but the veterinary staff are exceedingly professional. Z, our 9 year old German Shepherd, was referred for TPLO surgery. Dr. Kyle and Patricia made ample time to explain everything in detail and make sure we were prepared. Z recovered VERY fast with zero issues. A few months post surgery she was fully recovered and back to her usual adventuring. Their rehab program worked great. I’m incredibly pleased with this veterinary office and would highly recommend them to anyone. They definitely care for each animal they see.

They are great, easy in and out. They meet you outside when you arrive. The only negative thing about this place is having to stay in your vehicle. You have to keep your vehicle running if the weather is too hot or cold.

This is has been my vet for the past 4+ years for my Heeler Harly. My girl now has her 3 dogs going to Dr. Schumacher as well! Call. Make an appointment. She's awesome.

This vet overcharges to the brim. Procedures are billed as, “EMERGENCY” and are very expensive. My dog needed a wart removed and was given a week of antibiotics and then I was told they couldn’t do the surgery for 3 weeks…but if I wanted it done soon, I would have to pay up to $700.
