How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Westgate Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Highly recommended!!! Dr Peterson is the absolute best and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Great parking also close handicap parking. Very reasonably pricing. The urgent care wanted to put down my dog but Dr. Peterson saved him. He is the absolute best vet I've ever had and he never makes me feel rushed he explains everything. 5 star rating and you won't find a better vet. Been going here 6 years now.

Westgate really helped me out when my dog Aster suddenly became ill. The vets determined she has an immune disorder and helped me help her. She is doing much better now, they have checked her blood regularly to ensure she keeps doing better, and I am so grateful for their time, knowledge, and support. They are also very affordable and timely, and the vet tech is so good with my fear reactive girl. I highly recommend them.

Ive taken my cat here two times for vax and boosters. Dr. Peterson has been pretty nice and honest. My poor cat HATED getting his nails trimmed but Dr. Peterson and the vet tech worked it out. The receptionist was a younger gal with short hair and she was absolutely sweet. Their location is also VERY nice, it’s central in its location and the parking is always open. My tired cat after his vaccination.

I love the Vets and techs at Westgate Animal Clinic. They are caring, professional and attentive. My last dog, Tillie, loved going there, and Louie, my current dog, is comfortable being there. The clinic is clean and attractive. Prices seem reasonable too.

After being quoted over $1700 to get my 12 lb Yorkie teeth pulled, I contacted the adoption agency I adopted her from nearly a year later. They highly recommended Westgate (the surgery was performed elsewhere). The staff is very friendly, patient, and honest. Sky says thank you ad well! 🐶🐾
