How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We have had our schnauzer & sadly our passed dog treated at Banfield. I’m telling you it’s the best place. The care and attention that the entire staff gives your pets is marvelous. Dr Stephanie Jones is fantastic the Schnauzer that we currently have is a very very skittish & nervous dog, but Dr. Jones seems to keep him calm during the whole exam. Wouldn’t want to take my doggos anywhere else!!!!

The Banfield care team takes amazing care of our five pets, taking time to offer suggestions for how to help them as they get older and going above and beyond when one of them is ill. We are so grateful for them all!

I cannot say enough good things about this Veterinarian Hospital. I have had 3 sets of cats from kitten to senior over the past 35 years. I have never had such great care and empathy and all around thoughtful customer service. I moved from Seattle over a year ago and the service here is leaps and bounds above anything I've received before. My two cats are Snowshoe litter mates, 13 years old and happy and healthy. When Tungsten was severely dangerously constipated I took him to the VCA ER where they gave him opioids which his breed is known to be sensitive to. He had an adverse reaction and Banfield immediately knew the problem, reversed it, cleared up his constipation, made a new prescription food recommendation, and treated him very well and isolated him knowing he was not well and scared. I have the Banfield Optimum Health Insurance which is the best out there for everyday healthcare costs and dental costs. 11/10 would recommend getting on the insurance plan ($66 a month for my kids) and getting established at Banfield Pet Hospital in Elkhorn, NE on Evans St. Dr . Jones and everyone that helped her help me deserves a special place in Pet Heaven. Thank you!!! (I would have the same review even if Tungsten had not pulled through, every step was made w love and care)

Confused. Dog had bad reaction to vaccines. Thank goodness Dr. Jones. Helped him. When picked up told one thing, then another, unsure what treatment he received. The call from Dr was one thing. In office at pick up another. Sick for 4 days, getting better. Just a fluke incident. Dr, vet saved day
