How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Forest Hills Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Beau loves Forest Hills Veterinary! As soon as we pull in the parking lot, he is so excited to see his favorite ladies at the front desk! Chrissy has been shaving my golden doodle, Beau for 2 plus years and she always does a fantastic job! Highly recommend Forest Hills ✅👍💯

I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care provided by this family-owned veterinarian. When our beloved dog fell ill with parvo, they went above and beyond to accommodate us, even squeezing us in during their busy schedule. The level of expertise and compassion demonstrated by the entire team was truly remarkable. They worked tirelessly to save our furry family member, and we are overjoyed to say that our dog is now happy, healthy, and back to their old self. If you're in need of top-notch veterinary care from a team that treats your pet like one of their own, look no further. This is the place to go. Thank you again for everything you've done for us and our furry friend. You've earned customers for life!

My new vet is Forest Hills Veterinary Hospital. They were able to work me in to see a sick kitten that had arrived on my porch on a Saturday. I called many other vets and none would work me in. I called my now-former vet and explained the situation and was told bluntly that no walk-ins will be allowed. The staff at Forest Hills was so kind and amazing. Kristian was awesome. She was so gentle and caring towards our new rescue baby that you could not tell it was not her own cat. She put us at ease and answered all our questions. Dr. Gigliotti was kind and knowledgeable. He helped us make informed decisions and you could tell from his manner that he truly loves animals. Unlike some other practices which feel like they place money first, this office and Vet seems to place the animals above money. Yes, a vet hospital is a business but they make you feel like the care for animals comes first. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and I truly wish I knew who took the time to work me in so I could thank her by name in this review. After the wonderful experience and care we received, I have transferred the records of my other furry children to Forest Hills.

Boarded dog. Asked for bath. Picked dog up. He was dirty. Poop on butt and feet. "He pooped in his cage. WHAT? Eyes crusty. So, I sat there feeling really sad while they made good and gave him a whole bath/grooming and reversed charge. "And by the way, your dog was barking the whole time." Great. I picked up a stressed and dirty 14-year-old dog. Had boarded two previous times without problem. Vet services are efficient, professional. Don't board your dog there.

A friend of mine brought her dog to Dr. Gigliotti and had a bad experience. Her dog was very nervous and in the corner, so my friend expressed that she could get her dog up on the table, but instead the doctor GRABBED her and she started peeing herself, pooping, and her anal glands were going off. She tried to warn him it would upset her. Then she had a simple request that he count slowly for the shots her dog would receive, as she is WELL trained and very smart and literally knows counting to three. He again, did not respect the request and condescendingly just went about and stuck her very fast and suddenly. So if you have a nervous dog or need special accommodations this is not your place:)
