How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Walnut Street Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

WSAH literally saved our dog’s life! We’re not regular patients but our pomsky developed a case of pyometra and our vet, emergency, nor two other vets were able to treat her. When I called the first time, Vanessa jumped into action and got Dr. K on the phone to set our girl up for surgery before Dr. K was even at the hospital, and without even knowing our names! Vanessa & Maliah were so sweet with her during check in and when we came to pick her up, Lucy was extremely through with her discharge instructions and setting us up for success to continue her treatment at home. What was quickly becoming a nightmare was over before it really had a chance to start thanks to this wonderful staff. Thank you WSAH for helping our lil Sasha get back to her silly self!

We took our cat for a checkup and had the best experience. We were reassured we were in good hands through our anxiety. Doctor Montell and Denise were amazing, professional, and patient. We definitely recommend and will be going back.

Would like to thank the wonderful staff at Walnut Street Animal Hospital. My little dog was so nervous to be there and they exhibited such patience, compassion and care. They created a quick solution to a difficult situation and we achieved our objectives. Thank you! Will definitely return.

We took our fur baby in for a vaccine and heartworm test this afternoon. Our technician, Suji, was new to us but she was impressive. Not only was she knowledgeable, but was also very kind and loving with Jaxon and calmed his nerves by cuddling him in her arms. We are so grateful for this very sweet young woman! Maliah is a wonderful receptionist as well!

Great staff..Enjoyed all the stories about their own personal pets. We inherited a long haired Chihuahua. Beautiful little dog. Ahmed was terrific and gentle and Mariah was warm and full of life. We also met Dr. K. He was also very informative. A great place to take your animals when they are sick..Regards, Pete & Linda
