How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Spanish Lake Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Sieler is very patient and smart. He explains to you every option available for your pet. He doesn't charge you an arm and a leg either. They offer free things and snacks for the pets on every visit. The staff is always very friendly and caring. I haven't been to a VET this wonderful before!

We had been going here for years but our dogs never really had many problems. A few weeks ago we were there for a check up and we're concerned about our dog's swollen stomach. Vet just said she was fat and needed a diet and exercise as always. We took her to another vet and turns out it was her swollen liver. Along with 3 other problems. We just had to put her down last night.

A few years back I was rushed to the hospital I asked my so-called friend to hold my beloved Pembroke Welsh Corgi to either take care of her or put her in foster care. Imagine my shock when I went to court and I learned it the vet testified that I didn't take proper care of my Welsh Corgi because she did not have certain tests and everything but she had all of her shots and that I did not clean her teeth often enough and I replied to the judge that I was the only one taking care of my husband who is terminally ill I had I had to get him in for treatment three days a week and he had to be waited on hand and foot he was so very weak that I couldn't leave him to take my dog to the vet at that time is like a 3-month span. Good to hear the doctor make a statement that my baby was not taking care of just devastated me. I never did get that dog back because her husband is a retired police chief of Chesterfield and she runs a group that tries to find homes for corgis. She did agree to meet with me one time so I can at least visit my. She refused to give it back to me and she brought a different dog like I would not know my own baby. The staff was wonderful don't get me wrong but that the vet that was there is no longer practicing
