We were so thankful to find Dr. Schmidt again! He’s taken care of three of our fur babies. He’s absolutely the most caring, knowledgeable and loving vet that I’ve met in my 43 years of being a pet lover. He takes his time and explains things. He provides multiple options whenever possible without making you feel guilty. His staff lets you know beforehand the cost of a visit. He’s saved us a lot of money and worry over the years. A lot vets will try to up-sale you on products within their practice but here they do not. They will recommend the best products for your pet and ensure you know how and where to find them. Dr. Schmidt has always put me at ease. He was even made certain that when it was time for our 17 year old cat and our 5 year old eyeless rat (who had cancer) to move on to the rainbow bridge, that we were in the right place mentally (as best as we could be) and checked up on us afterwards. He’s even shared his cell number with me. I can’t recommend him enough after seeing other vets in Lafayette. Thank you for caring about our babies!

Dr Lemaire and Dr Schmidt have taken care of my fur family since 2005.. They are the best vets anywhere. Their entire staff, from the doctors, to the vets techs to front desk staff, is wonderful. All of the employees show great compassion towards your pet and greet your babies like long lost friends each time you walk in. They are the only animal facility I would take my pets to. They have a great practice. They offer a vast array of services that includes grooming. They even offer services for your exotic or unusual pets.

The staff were wonderful. They treated me and my fur baby like we were family. They listened to my needs and provided them with a smile on their face. The way they treated my Allie made me smile. I will definitely come back and will recommend this place to others.
