Little Pepper was suddenly very weak and lethargic, gasping for air by panting, but unable to keep her head up long to breathe. She was literally shaking from exhaustion. Took a 40 min drive to get her in and Dr Lauren Mirus examined her, took xrays, blood tests & ultrasounds to determine she had fluid in her lungs due to her heart backing up blood. Got antibiotic and steroid shots to clear her lungs and Lasix meds to deal with her heart. She seemed to get worse later. I called and Dr Mirus said to bring her back immediately. It was just after closing, yet a tech met us in the parking lot and took her immediately back to Dr Mirus before I was even out of the car. All said and done, it was just going to take a little more time for all meds to kick in, but she was well enough to go home supervised. Incredibly, that's exactly what happened. Pepper was alert and wanting to look around by the time we got home and even wanted to eat. She was unbelievably "her old self" in just 24 hrs. Great job and caring by EVERYONE there!

They are a wonderful vet office! Very caring,friendly and loving towards our animals. Our Chihuahua was taken in for spinal injury and unable to use her hind legs properly. They immediately knew the problem and started treatment. Thank you Dr Mirus, and all the wonderful staff that's part of her treatment team! She's making great progress with the cold laser treatments, meds, and rest!
