First and last time I will ever use this vet. Has no horse sense. Will insist on using horse twitch with sedated and quiet horse, and then charged extra when I refused to allow him to use one, even tho the horse stood perfectly still. Was very rude, pushy, and was difficult to work with. To be charged more for advocating for your horses health is wrong. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Rumsey was incredibly helpful and kind when my mare got an eye injury in the dead of winter! Out of five vets I called that morning he was the only one who felt it was urgent to get her eye looked at that same day, which I truly appreciated. He's straightforward and down to earth, fielded my questions with patience and knowledge, and as a result of his extra care my mare's eyes have never looked better. I'm very grateful for his work and care!

He used a respiratory paralytic to euthanize my daughter's horse no sedation first nothing. It was the most inhumane thing I have ever seen. I will be reporting him to the board of Veterinarian medicine. In over 45 yrs of working with vets and horses I have never witnessed anything so horrible.
