PetVet Vaccination Clinic
How to Save on Veterinary Costs at PetVet Vaccination Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian
Choosing a veterinarian is an important decision for pet parents. A strong vet relationship is built on trust, communication, and understanding your pet’s individual needs.
Experience
Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.
Emergency Care Procedures
It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.
Communication Preferences
Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.
Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.
Facility Tour
If available, touring the clinic can help you and your pet feel more comfortable before the first visit.

Great experience! Bry and Rachel were truly amazing to work with. (I hope they see this and receive financial accolades)—-We recently moved here from Wisconsin, where we have had our family Vet for almost 30 years. Coming in to the Wellness Vet Clinic, not only was convenient and time saving, but also, easy on the pocketbook. It was easily $150 less for the check up, vaccinations, and, flea, tick, heartworm medicines than a conventional veterinarian—-Thank you again for the first time visit coupon you found for us. We like to save money, but also like to get great service. WV provided both of those things for us …… Ron

My cute little dog is fiesty and a bit uncooperative before and during vet visits and exams. This being his first visit here is he was very scared so he barked and growled at the staff quite a bit to let them know how he felt. So I think we will let HIM share his experience at PetVet. They were very patient and kind to me, even though I was very tense and kind of froze up. Dr. Cook spoke softly and sweetly to me while taking my blood sample and checking me out thoroughly. It really helped calm me down, so everything went smoothly and didn't take too long, cause I really wanted off that exam table, but by the end of my exam I felt much safer and not so scared because they were so nice to me and moved smoothly and held me firmly, but kindly and were never rough. After the exam, of course I was happy it was over, but I felt more at ease than usual after the visit while we waited for the test results and checked out, etc. I didn't even try to drag my Mom out of there afterwards like I usuallytry to do and growled alot less and I barked a whole lot less. I now have a new permanent vet! Mom says she will return with my "sister" dog for her annual exam with Dr. Cook and his wonderful staff next month! Not only did our first visit with PetVet go well, the "package" shots, tests, and exam prices are extremely reasonable for Mom! I rates the visit a '10", and so does my Mom! Thank you Dr.Cook and staff for a convenient and comfortable first visit! I feel good today, the nextday, and everything is cool, we are just hanging out on the couch. It feels good to know we have a great new vet that we can trust and all my tests came out good! Happy and healthy as you can see! Thanks again Dr. Cook & staff at the East Cherokee Rd location.

Organized and professional. Easy sign in with QR code and the wait was as expected. Staff and vet were very sweet with my dogs. They were knowledgeable about the medicine spray my dog needed and were able to provide a new one on the spot.

I took my dog there for the first time yesterday and it was an overall great experience! The staff were so friendly and fun and informative. The clinic was clean and open, you can see everything they’re doing and ask questions. The only negative is there’s no real “waiting area” so you just have to stand outside of the clinic or walk around the store. Which really wasn’t a big problem for me. I have a very nervous and very big dog and the staff handled things perfectly! Also the clinic was MUCH more affordable than a regular vet. We will absolutely be coming back!
