How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Erickson Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I take all of my animals here. They are kind, compassionate and fair priced. When my childhood dog passed away earlier this year it was extremely hard to see her health decline and the staff and veterinarians did everything they could for months on end to address her various problems and help ease her pain. Their empathy made that difficult time easier and I’m so grateful.

Great spot for my puppies. No complaints on the service. Just wish the still did boarding for them. Because they are no longer doing boarding it will make it difficult for us to find a place for both of our dogs since we use them for their check ups and Healthcare.

Words can't express how thankful I am for this place and for all those who work here. My sweet girl hurt her leg somehow swimming, and I was able to get an appointment with them with a day's notice. She always gets afraid and incredibly nervous when in new buildings and around people, but they are so patient and took their time for her to be comfortable. They were very busy too! We went there for her leg injury, but she also required additional tests and vaccines for her to be properly taken care of that day. The vet and vet nurse really went over everything with me, so I felt confident leaving there and knowing how to properly care for her. If I hadn't taken her here and went with my "gut feeling" of how to fix her problem, she would have been injured so much more. Needless to say, as long as Dr. McGann is there. I know where I will always take my dogs.

I used to think this was the best bet hospital in town and I recommended them to everyone however after my last experience that is not the case. I took my dog in for her second TPLO surgery and when my dog came home the next day she had an injured elbow. I called immediately and after speaking to the hospital director they said that nothing happened and my dog would be fine. After spending $10,000 with them you would think they would take better care of my dog. They took no accountability for what happened and I couldn’t even get an apology. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend anyone to bring their animal here. When I first started going there I had a great experience but everytime I would go in there they had different staff which indicates to me there is a problem here. Very sad but people should know the truth about what goes on here

I brought my two rescued pups here and they were wonderful. They took the time and examined them, trimmed their nails and explained course of action and what they suggest in ways of treats and exercise. I highly recommend this vet. Thank you Erickson's - keep up the blessed service you provide.
