How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Christo Veterinary Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Christo took care of my elderly dog who hated going to the vet's office. He made home visits! When it was her time, she was able to pass in the comfort of her home with me. Dr. Christo made sure that I was ready to let her go, even though we both knew the need. We scheduled an appointment. He was on time, empathetic, and compassionate. He returned my sweet companion's cremains. He was our vet for 5 years. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Christo helped me a lot with my "antique " dog until it was time to let her go. DR. Christo came to my house and with much compassion and dignity, he euthanized her for me. It was quiet and peaceful and I am truly grateful to him. It is so helpful to have a Vet willing to go to an animal that for one reason or another cannot travel. I highly recommend him.

We had Dr. Christo out to our house to euthanize our 13 year old dog. He was very compassionate & patient. We will use him again, when the time comes. We liked him so much we would like to have come out for our regular check ups, but in home care is a little cost prohibitive, but the animals do stay much calmer... maybe we can get a neighborhood group rate ;)

Christo came out for short notice euthanasia of my lab in July 2017. He had the dosage wrong so she did not pass right away and the arteries had clogged up by then so he had to inject straight in the heart with the long needle. All that at the bargain price of $320. Pretty bad experience for the whole family.
