Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

I just recently moved to the area. My 9 year old ferret Poe went downhill pretty quickly. I took Poe to Tree Of Life to have him put to sleep. The staff was quick and compassionate. They took Poe and handled him with so much love and care. They were incredibly understanding and offered the best environment for my sweet Poe. After Poe had passed i received a letter in the mail from them offering their condolences which ment so much to me. Poe was an amazing ferret and it ment so much to me that their staff was so supportive and loving during this process ❤️ pictures of my sweet old man for the memories ❤️

Called to inquire about bird health certificates and possible vaccines needed. Receptionists seemed uncertain regarding what was needed and projected that uncertainty on me, a potential client, calling for professional expertise. I stated more than twice that I was uncertain about vaccine requirements but could call back if the info is needed to set an appointment. Receptionist stated that I needed to obtain info from a “Pet locating service” which is untrue. Utilizing a pet relocating service is not a requirement to travel. Again, I stated that I needed a health certificate and possible vaccines. I reiterated that I was not certain if and what vaccines were needed but could call back with the information. After her nice-nasty responses I became frustrated because it was clear that she is lazy, judgmental, and committed to not being of service. Maybe my dogs veterinarian spoils them because they advised me on the precise regulations, vaccines, and overall requirements my pets needed to fly. This lady was annoyed that I, the potential client, was calling her without fully understanding the scope of something I’ve never done before. It’s not every day that a person flies with their birds! Word to the wise: EACH AIRLINE HAS THEIR OWN REQUIREMENTS, USA HAS THEIR OWN REQUIREMENTS, AND THE COUNTRY YOU’RE TRAVELING TO HAS ANOTHER SET OF REQUIREMENTS. And they each recommend that you call the other to be sure you meet all requirements. My intention was to schedule an appointment to confirm that my birds are healthy enough to fly and get them the vaccines needed that a professional veterinarian can easily advise. I found her attitude to be passive aggressive and it was clear that she does not have adequate listening skills. This is more of an, “It’s not what you say but how you say it.” No way the five star reviews are authentic.

Dr. Bjornebo is an exceptionally talented vet. She has been taking care of my green iguanas for years from routine wellness checks to major medical cares & I am so grateful to have her. It's very hard to find a good reptile vet. Dr. B & her team is absolute treasure for reptile enthusiasts in Arizona. My female iggy just had spay surgery in the state of art clinic & she was treated with excellent cares & beyond. I can not thank them enough. The Best Clinic in Arizona !!! Here is a picture of her on the way to the clinic for surgery follow-up.

Dr. Bjornebo is a great veterinarian who uses her time and expertise to help not only her own clients and patients, but actively and willingly consults with veterinarians around the country to help with education and appropriate treatment of their cases. I am extremely grateful for her help in caring for my exotic patients.
