How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Luke Air Force Base Veterinary Service

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

The staff at Luke AFB Veterinary Clinic treat my 3 boys great. Tyson, Romeo and Maximus love them.

What a nightmare this is. I am pcs-ing to Germany and was calling to ask about getting health certificates to travel with my pets. I am a disabled veteran. The clinic only sees current military or retired military and when asked who I should see or what the process is they were not helpful at all. Very short and rude and just wanted off the phone.

I had a very terrible experience with Joanne, receptionist at this clinic. Her attitude is horrible. This was the first time I walked into this clinic and from the start her attitude was harsh. I asked if there were any available appointments and she says no and I stated is the no just for today or the next week or month. She then states for a while and I was like what’s a while…I then told her that she has an attitude to which she states I don’t have to serve you and I stated who is your manager. The manager, the veterinarian, was in the next office and she was apologizing and stated she heard the conversation and that the receptionist wasn’t the most inviting during the exchange. I told the veterinarian that this unacceptable and that her attitude, the receptionist, was awful. The veterinarian was sympathetic and seems like a very nice person but Joanne is rude, unprofessional, unhelpful and is going to run paying customers away from what may be acceptable veterinarian services!!!!
