When our baby started feeling sick on a Saturday afternoon, our hometown vet had already closed for the day. Unfortunately, we no longer have local emergency services for pets, so we began reaching out to clinics in Huntsville and Madison. After multiple unanswered calls and no callbacks, Summit Veterinary was the only place that responded—and we will be forever grateful for their urgent care. From the moment we arrived, they treated our baby as if she were their own. Dr. Smith and Olivia gave her the attention she needed, easing our worries by answering all of our questions with patience and care. They made us feel like she was their only priority, and their compassion truly stood out. This clinic is new, but it is incredibly welcoming. The staff’s genuine kindness and warm smiles made all the difference. Because of their exceptional care, we will be bringing all of our babies (six in total) here for any future emergencies. It seems to always happen on weekends, right? Your pet is very sick and there are few vet clinics open, and you are so worried about your dog or cat--we were when we brought our geriatric beagle to Summit Veterinary Urgent Care. You walk in and immediately, you know you are in great hands. They are the friendliest, most professional, and most caring people, and they immediately put you at ease. There is a reason they have only 5-star reviews! I want to thank everyone at Summit Veterinary Urgent Care for taking such good care of our Fletcher, and for putting our mind at ease again, when we called later with questions. Y'all are just the absolute best! Hands down!

Fantastic experience for a scary situation. Took my dog in for urgent appt and the entire staff was extremely kind and we were pulled to a room immediately. The Dr was very polite, knowledgeable, sincere, answered questions, and was very thorough with the exam. You can tell they ALL love animals and prioritize the animals comfort. They all took their time with my baby and made sure he was loved on through the entire process. So happy with my experience there and the great team I met.

We are thankful that we have this urgent care near us. We woke up on Sunday morning and found that our Bear couldn’t walk he was in so much pain. The staff and Dr Smith were so kind and great with our dog. They made sure he had his pain controlled and they quickly figured out what was going on. He is slowly recovering with medicine now. We will definitely use them again should the need arise.

Nice, clean clinic with friendly staff! Dr. Smith and her team have emergency vet experience and take such great care of all the animals. This urgent care with late hours is such an asset to everyone in the Huntsville/Decatur area with pets. Can’t wait to see this clinic grow as they get established!
