How to Save Money at All Creatures Pet Care Center

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Absolutely the rudest people I called because my pet hat blood in their stool the woman who answered proceeded to sarcastically reply with are we a regular vet clinic? And we don’t have any openings she was extremely rude. If this is how they act towards someone trying to handle a potential pet emergency I can only imagine how they treat their regulars. These people are supposed to be tending to your pets and they have a rude unprofessional person talking to potential clients I called one other veterinarian in town and they were kind and professional didn’t act like i was beneath them because I was worried about my pet and promptly set up an emergency visit. The person who answered should be fired for her behavior as that is not conducive for such an environment that requires empathy and understanding.

I truly appreciate the veterinarian and the level of care he provides. He is always kind, professional, and takes the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. It is clear that he genuinely loves what he does and cares deeply about the animals he treats. The veterinary assistants and staff who administer vaccinations have also been very kind and helpful during our visits. Unfortunately, my experience with the reception staff has been consistently disappointing, particularly over the phone. While I understand that customer service roles can be stressful and that staff may occasionally deal with difficult situations, I have always made an effort to be polite and respectful. Despite this, nearly every phone interaction I have had has felt rude or unwelcoming. I have specifically spoken with Angelica and Stacey, and although interactions in person are somewhat better, the tone and attitude over the phone often come across as dismissive and, at times, judgmental. This has been very discouraging as a client. The primary reason I continue bringing my pets here is because of the exceptional care and kindness provided by the veterinarian.

Straightforward visit, didn’t expect to be treated like a king, I just expected a resolution for my sick cat. Front desk seemed straightforward, the younger ladies seemed a little unprofessional, the older lady was nice. Doctor was chill, very quick to diagnose my boy, assured me the medicine prescribed would have my cat better in no time, indeed the medicine had my boy feeling better day 2. Doctor is great, in the end that’s all that matters.

My GS Bella has been acting weird ever since she lost her best friend. She started refusing treats, she would cry out when petting her head/ears (sometimes if she just thought you were going to touch her!) and just not engaging. First vet ran bloodwork, said she was anemic and prescribed PetTab vits and another supplement. Her iron did improve but still had same symptoms! All Creatures got me in to a late afternoon appt, same day. When he checked her ears, he said she had some infection, her ear flaps were thick/swollen and she showed signs of edema. He gave her a shot and prescribed ointment for her ears twice a day! After 3 applications of medication and I did soak them with hot packs last night, this morning she is alert, ears no longer floppy, follows my every step again and has started grabbing her treats again instead of spitting them out. This has been going on since 2024 and other than her ears being a little greasy from the ointment, she's BACK!! I am absolutely amazed!

Don’t recommend this vet. Zero care for pets. My pet had a horrible reaction to the medication they administered. They never gave me any information of any potential side effects. I called and left a voice mail trying to reach the vet. No response. I had to take my pet to urgent care. Unfortunately my beloved vet had to be euthanized due to the effects of the medication. I called all creatures and told what had occurred . The vet never bother to follow up with any questions on what happen my pet. Zero empathy. My pet wasn’t a medication experiment.
