definitely not for exotic pets
There are very few exotic pet insurances out there, and I was told metlife was the exception. I was told wrong. I have had multiple complications and misinformation about my policy and what it covers from the moment I got my quote. I was told my policy would cover spay/neuter over the phone, but now I am told it isn't covered, and I am out 4,000 dollars with no assistance.
(I have a rex rabbit btw)

Easy to place a claim
I'm a first time Pet Insurance owner. After many dogs and lots of medical bills the coverage MetLife offered met all my needs at a great price point.
With MetLife, the claim process was easy to use - the customer service reps were so helpful and caring, and the payout process was seamless. I'd recommend to all pet owners out there!

MetLife Pet Insurance
I have insurance through them on all three of my dogs. I find the insurance very affordable and easy to work with. This is the first time I’ve ever had pet insurance and after a year with them, I’m about to renew my policies. I never knew insurance could be so easy.

Thankful for MetLife!
I have two middle-aged dogs. One is on several medicines that are covered by MetLife. (Unlike many of my human meds) one of my dogs needed a knee surgery this year that was $4200. Right at Christmas time. I submitted the claim Monday and MetLife had 80% of the cost of the surgery in my bank account on Friday. ( better than human insurance)
I’ve always found it very simple to fill out their submission forms and have been very happy with MetLife overall., I don’t think I’ll ever own a dog again without pet insurance and will most certainly go to Met life because of my recent experience .

Miracle puppy
Our Bruce was dying from heatstroke when brought in to MarQueen Vet Hosp. The doctors took very good care of him and gave him a second life. Kudos to all the dog caretakers as well. Both MD s n technicians updated us every day for Bruce’s progress. This happened when we were out of the country and God knows how blessed and grateful we were during those difficult times.. METLIFE insurance also did an excellent job in responding to our claim!!! Thank you all do much!

Definitely recommend
I don’t typically leave reviews but I never had any issues with MetLife! I genuinely enjoy their great customer service and how they try their best to answer all of your questions, even the stupid ones! As a person who works in customer service, I typically stick to companies that have superior customer service. I discovered metlife because it was one of my former employer’s benefits!

Allergic Dog
Our young beauty was found to be allergic to basically everything and has to place her on special food (prescription food) and MetLife has covered everything. We could not be happier with MetLife. They have covered all tests, meds and food per our agreed contract.

Easier than anticipated
When I purchased my Bulldog, I also purchased insurance. I have had bulldogs for iver 30 years and some that I would be a millionaire if I had chosen a different breed. My Vet recommended that I take Maui to UGA to be assessed for elongated soft palate, entropion, and hips and knees x-rayed. They also felt having him neutered there was the safest choice. Maui did end up needing his saccules removed and a tiny trim off his pallette. Overall, not bad for a Bulldog. This was all done close to a year old, so UGA neutered him as well at the same time. I submitted my claim and as soon as they had the paperwork needed, they paid. I love that each year without a claim, I get an increase in coverage. Bulldogs are prone to so many health issues and since MetLife doesn't disqualify breed specific issues, I feel confident that he will have his healthcare costs covered if necessary.
