Very responsive.

I recently signed up for insurance for my dog. Somehow I lost the policy paperwork. I e-mailed a gentleman at the company and he e-mailed the documents back to me in minutes. What could be better service than that?

Pets Best Is Wonderful

I have been very happy with Pets Best for the last 3 years. They were able to cover my 10 year old Akita for a low premium (many plans will not accept a senior pet) and I never had any trouble getting timely reimbursements. I now have 2 Akita puppies under the plan and am quite thankful as I am having to bring both of them to the vet today.

ASPCA

One very positive remark I have to say about ASPCA and that is the way their Customer Service works: excellent. Now, for reimbursement of claims, I have been with this insurance for only a year and every time I submit a claim I had problems in being refunded, there were always something to their benefit. Otherwise, these days is better to have a pet insurance in your loved four legged than nothing.

MUCH better than VPI

I recently switched to Embrace from VPI this summer. I sent a claim through, hoping that it would be handled better than my prior service with VPI. With VPI, I felt like I was looking through paperwork to see how everything was covered under the insurance. Embrace itemizes everything for you, and shows you what is, and what is not covered. The medicine, doctor re-check exams, and hospitalization was ALL covered. I will definitely say that EMbrace is the poilcy that I know I can trust.THANKS EMBRACE!

Wonderful insurance!!

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews about this plan. I have not been able to find anything for such a great price. There is really no uncertainty either. You pay the rate. Your yearly deductible is $100 (cheap!) and then you get reimbursed 80%. I love Petshealthcare. I recently had a bill for over $1000.00 because my baby was throwing up non stop. He was hospitalized and on an IV. I received a check for over $800 within a week or 2 after he was released. And, I live in CA. I have never had any issues with claims regarding unfair reimbursement amounts based on my zip code. Since I have had Petshealthcare,my dog has had at least 3 claims, and each one was handled very well except for 1 time. However, this time I appealed the denial, and I won. I was very impressed that they took the time to re review my claim. And, every time I call the customer service line, everyone is very friendly and professional. I used to have VPI because everyone seems to recommend them. I do not want to bad mouth them, but they were horrible. They sent me a UPS letter to cancel my policy because they accused me of knowingly failing to report my dog's pre exisiting condition. No phone call, nothing! Just a cancellation letter. The only bad thing I can see about Petshealthcare is the whole pre existing clause. I guess if the dog is sick 1 month before renewal, there will be some issues. However, if you call their customer service and talk to someone, I bet they could explain that part better. Overall, it is still a great deal, especially for my 2 boys who are always ending up in the emergency room or getting a bee sting or an ankle sprain or something. My older dog has had all kinds of troubles and diseases. I love my dogs like they are my kids, and I feel comfort knowing we have this coverage.

service non-existent

I have been trying for days to get in touch with someone who can give me some answers. I cannot get send an e-mail to ASPCA insurance; cannot get anyone at the various insurance companies that are listed on the policies. My payment is going to PMIA, so I have no idea if my cats are covered. I didn't register immediately on the web site when I signed up for the insurance, so now I cannot get on the web site to check my account or even get a new password. They should tell people to sign onto the web site right away.

None of them cover "cogenital or hereditary"

I called asking for a list of "congenital" disorders for a border collie and was told there was no way to tell until I bought the insurance, my dog got sick and I turned in the claim for their review. I asked about "hereditary" diseases for a dog of unknown parentage (I adopted a border collie rescue dog). They said the same applies: buy the insurance, wait for your dog to get sick, and we may or may not pay the claim. I decided not to buy the insurance. I found the same disclaimer on all the other policies out there. I suggest putting money away in a savings account every month and call it your pet emergency fund. Hopefully you won't need it, but you can then decide how much to pay yourself back per incident.

So far so good

Just went through the precertification process for my dog's upcoming bilateral patellar subluxation surgery and I must say that it has been a pleasant and simple process. The people I have been coresponding with have been friendly, kind, compassionate and prompt. If the entire process works out the same I will be truly impressed. As a physician accustomed to dealing with people insurance I can say they could learn alot from the way Embrace deals with their clients. So far would recommend them without reservation!!

They are the best!

Pets Best has paid two claims for my dog. One was an emergency and they paid over $3000. The other was minor but again no problem with the coverage. In comparing plans, they seem to be the most comprehensive.

No complaints....happy so far

We have 4 pets insured through Pets Best (since March). We recently put in a claim for our cat. I was afraid that Pets Best would not pay a claim because there was no definitive diagnosis after I submitted the first claim. Lots of tests were done and our bill was over $600. The vet wasn't sure if she had a bladder infection or possibly a bladder tumor (ultrasound showed strange findings). We knew we would continue to have follow up appts with our vet. We submitted our claim and Pets Best covered it. They did say that in order for them to accept another claim, they needed a definitive diagnosis. I appreciate that they still paid the first claim. I can understand where they are coming from. Needless to say, we did get a diagnosis. It ended up being an infection and they did pay the second claim as well. The only thing I never understood is that the vet gave our cat an injection for the infection and Pets Best didn't cover it. It was only $20.00 and I'm not sure why it wasn't covered...everything else was.
