No Hassle Service

They have different plans to choose from. There's a $100 deductible followed by 80% coverage. Covering medicines requires a higher plan. We went with the advantage plan which does not cover the medicine however covers everything else including everying in an annual checkup. You download the claim form off their website, you then either mail, email or fax it in. You can see all the claims you have submitted on their site as well as track the reimbursments. Also they pay in a couple of weeks. We have had no problems at all and are very pleased.

safety plan is a good value for accident coverage

I have the safety plan accident coverage for each of my three dogs. While I know it will not pay everything, in an emergency getting some of the costs paid - especially for a monthly premium of just over $9.00, can be a big help. Last week my friend almost lost his dog because it got into the trash and ate something - they could not afford the surgery and thought euthanisia was the only option. Fortunately other friends came to his aid and paid over $3000 for the surgery. I've told him and every friend and family member I know about the excellent value of the ASPCA safety plan to cover accidents like that. Having at least part of the those costs covered could be the difference between life and death for a pet.

ONLY THE BEST FOR OUR DOGS

I can't begin to say how happy we are to have Enbrace as our pet insurance. About two years age we brought home a beautiful 9 week old Akita pup and having had some large bills from other dogs we have had we decided to look into pet insurance. After doing some research I spoke with the people at Embrace & decided to give it a try. Less than two weeks later the unbelievable happened. Our pup was running along the fence in our back yard whenour neighbor's large dog got his head partly under the fence and got ahold of Storms right front leg and tried to pull him under it. My husband was right there and had to climb over the 6ft. fence and beat the dog to get Storm free. The leg was mangeled just hanging by a little piece of skin and meat. We rushed him to the emergency clinic and after he was stabelized, the did some surery to be followed by 4 more surgeries over the next months. We paid the bills and sent the claim forms to Embrace and THEY PAID just as they said the would. They were wonderful. We got to know the staff pretty well over time because they called and e-mailsd to check or Storm. It was an uncertain time for us, but they stayed right with us and let us know they cared. I couldn't believe that they paid those claims. We didn't even have a copy of the policy when the accident happened. Storm is now 2yrs old and is a happy, beautiful four legged boy. He plays with his sister Libby and is just a geat big 120lb clown. We would have had Storm's surgeries even without the insurance, but Embrace sure made things easier for us. They did exactly as they said they would and more. They paid and they CARED.If they had people insurance, we would be first to sign up!

Just another pet insurance company ...

There is nothing outstanding about Pets Best. I've had my 2 dogs insured since I've had them (2 years). Seems like I might have made the wrong decision when I chose Pets Best. I have given them several opportunities to "help" me want to stay a customer - but each conversation with them is friendly yet ineffective. I like the simplicity of their plan - it's pretty straightforward about percentage payout, you get to use your own vets; but - they seem to be "overloaded" with paperwork and behind the 8 ball. I originally faxed my claims to them on 8/21 and got a fax confirmation. There is no where on their site detailing the procedure for handling claims. The only thing I could see is to wait 10-15 days for processing. Apparantly, once you call they tell you that you'll receive an email confirmation once it has been received. I wished I could have read that on their web-site ... It would have saved me 2 weeks of waiting patiently. I emailed my claims in again, expecting the email - and that took over a week to get. Despite my calls to check that they've been received. So now it's 3 WEEKS later and I still can't get a real confirmation that my paperwork has been received. WEEK 4 - I finally get the emails that they have processed the claims - and most were correct, except one. So when I call again - I am told I have to file an appeal. They just left charges off - so should I refile those charges? or file an appeal and wait ANOTHER month to hear back about the appeal. What if they tell me then that I have to refile the claim because they left off some charges. Is that going to take another month to refund??? SHOULD IT TAKE THAT LONG TO GET RESOLVED?

Take your business elseware

Don't bother spending your money with Embrace, they consider a dog having diarrhea and an upset stomach a "pre-existing" condition. Therefore they don't cover any other stomach/diarrhea issues. This was my first claim. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Best Insurance for Pets

I used to work at an animal hospital and saw many different pet insurance companies. Most of our clients had VPI and all I ever heard were complaints about that company so when it was time for me to get insurance for my dog, I did some research. Out of all the companies I found, PetsBest seemed to be the best fit for my dog. I have never had a problem with them and they process claims very quickly. So far I have had to file a few claims. Last December, my dog ate a 1lb box of chocolate and had to go to the ER and then in April she was attacked by another dog and, again, had to go to the ER. PetsBest never questioned anything and they sent over $100 back for each of those claims. They even cover dental cleanings which most of the other companies don't cover. They sent back a check for over $100 for that also. From what I had heard about the other companies, I wasn't expecting to recieve much back from the claims so I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved the checks. I highly recommend this company.

Great Wellness Coverage

Pets Best actual pays what they advertise. I religiously take my dog Isabell to our Vet for check-ups. Best Best Wellness with no deductible has returned more in services than I have paid.

Benefits Out-weigh the Cost

My 150 lb Bullmastiff cracked one of his lower teeth (canine fang) and he appeared to be uncomfortable because the root was exposed. I took him to a veterinarian who specialized in dog dentistry. I had two options - pull it or put a crown on it. Needless to say, the cost of a crown was extremely prohibitive ($2,000+) and it would have created maintenance issues because it is common for crowns to come loose and they usually end up being swallowed, therefore needing to be replaced. The vet assured me he would be fine without the tooth (unlike some animals in the wild who rely on their canine teeth for survival). Pulling the tooth required major surgery. I realized why after seeing the tooth once it was pulled (the entire tooth was over 2 inches long and looked like it had come out of a shark!). The cost of the surgery was almost $900 of which my pet insurance covered over half without any question or delay.
